Afrihost CAPPED ADSL Feedback (MTN)

My internet today is suddenly better - twice the international speeds I got last week (although still barely half of local).
Something fixed? Or is it because its Saturday and Home accounts are not shaped to benefit Business?
 
What happened to cancelling before the 25th? I tried to cancel yesterday and it said the data will expire 31st November? So I just thought meh I'll cancel the cancellation and wait but I'm not happy.

Now Im forced to sit and wait for the South IPC and we all know that is the one that is always delayed. :(

Their website says
Please note: You can cancel at any point before the 25th for the end of the current
month. If you cancel after the 25th our billing cycle has already run and your cancellation
will only be effective for the end of the next month.

Hi gents, anyone having streaming issues on Afrihost Capped? It is almost unbearable.

Well personally and this is based on my own experience I moved our lines from afrihost over to web africa and vox, both performing very smooth on 720p
 
Afrihost network is like a baboon in a Sputnik - All over the place.

Tested with Webafrica goes like a rocket.
 
Out of curiosity, what's the quality set to in Playback Settings when you log into your Netflix account and go to settings?
 
Lame! I thought I could cancel on the 25th.. Turns out it has to be before the 25th! Now I'm stuck here for another month..

Can anyone recommend which Unotelly servers to use on Afrihost. When using either of the local ones (JHB, CPT), Germany, and London, I get no connectivity. It works at times, and then stops loading anything. If i remove the static DNS, my internet works perfectly. Jeez, I am so sick and tired of this nonsense! There's always a problem on Afrihost. Always something... I will actually be glad to pay more for a service that works.

I know it's the 25th, but what if I downgrade my account to 1gb, or have I missed that boat entirely for another month?..

You should be able to downgrade from now.

And other ISPs usually give you a free week for signing up so late now.

If I downgrade now, then am I going to lose the rest of my data for this month? I still have 140gb left, so that quite an amount.

Speed wise not too bad but latency is a disaster....

P2P and NNTP speeds are running at normal speeds.

I'm getting 1/10th of my line speed which is now "normal" on Afrihost capped. I'm so bummed that I didn't cancel before the 25th...
