Experiencing high latency to local servers.
500 - 800 ms to local Dota2 servers.
Webpages are also taking a age to load. Fees like dial up

My Afrihost CApped account is super screwed tonight... im on another isp account now.. ping of over 800ms and download of 0.1...

Hi there, been a while since I posted.
I noticed a terrible issue with my multiplayer gaming tonight so decided to do a quick speedtest (I barely have time to game these days).
Resuls:
This on a CAPPED 10mbps line and account.
Any help?

You actually seem to be one of the the lucky ones. I'm stuck with less than 1Mbps on my 10Mbps line.
Any help you ask? Move to another ISP, this one is dying a slow death.

I don't come here very often anymore because all I see is people complaining all the time.
And the conclusion as I've said once before, the problem can only be exchange congestion or whatever as I never have any of the problems you guys speak of.
I have a 4 mbits line with a 50+50 capped account with AH (since Jan 2014) and it works 100% day and night, 24/7, whether I do gaming (pings 180 UK), downloads, p2p or whatever (424KB/sec), it just works great ?
There is only 1 DSLAM at my exhange (100 meters away) and it's only 20% occupied.
No, I do not work for them, but I do an average of 80 GB a month and it rocks all the way

If you ever sell your house don't forget to tell the Estate Agent that story. Having the only House in South Africa with actual working ADSL should add a lot to the Value. If you are immune to Blackouts too it will be priceless.
