Afrihost CAPPED ADSL Feedback (MTN)

Locked or not, it finally connected and used about 50mb before the error kicked in. But now the problem is his main account (afrihost 50+50) is getting the same authentication failure error and doesn't want to connect.

Your friend should definitely not have been getting that error with his Capped account, if he is still experiencing that, can I please ask that you or him send me a PM with his username so that I can look into this.
 
Im not upset as such, just worried that next month I will be billed the full price twice.
Not much I can do till support/accounts are back from leave anyway so I just wondered if it is unique to my account or a general billing glitch on a new product.

That is definitely strange, if you were invoiced incorrectly, we will definitely make sure that you aren't billed for the product in question.
 
Quick question... Since there isn't a hosting thread.

My site is slow and times out logged into clientzone to complain.

Well clientzone doesn't work, finally got in when I submit it processes and then bright orange warning 503 service unavailable.
 
I have complained about the horrid state that the hosting is in but I still need to do a few things before I move to elitehost, but up until then I would appreciate it if my hosting can be as good as my ADSL which is running marvelously thank you.

I am indeed back!

Someone was doing something naughty with one of their servers which was causing significant issues, it does appear to be better now, can you test from your side quickly.

AfriGenie, a few days ago I was capped and the Afrihost+ 128kb/s soft limit did not work. Had to resort to another account. I did log a ticket but not response as yet...

Afrihost - your network is broked. I have a capped account and can't access battlelog.battlefield.com - It works from other ISP's.

Your site says everything is fine, but clearly it isn't.
 
AfriGenie I see you CEO like broadcasting to your customers about new ideas. One suggestion...a suggestion box would be nice addition to your site. Like maybe a soft cap option for all us capped users, like telkom does.

You can have a soft cap, its called PLUS+, just folk out an extra R99.

Nope, this has always been the case with Afrihost! That is why I'm now with WebAfrica, after years of promise that it will get resolved but never does.

There should definitely not be any issues with streaming at the moment. are you seeing poor performance in general, or is the performance up and down?

No YouTube and Netflix runs perfect, twitch buffers all the time even on medium quality
