Would you mind running a traceroute to Twitch.tv, then as an additional test, can you try use the Twitch.tv app available for most Android or Apple devices.
 
Just signed up and switched back to Afrihost after being with Mweb for a while. I notice when I ping google 8.8.8.8 I don't get back local replies of around 30ms that I got with Mweb. Is there a reason for this? Tried Vox and pings to 8.8.8.8 come back local as well. Just not Afrihost

The routing on the MTN network does differ a bit from the Mweb and Internet Solutions-based network routing, whilst the DNS does resolve to a different cache, you should see your Youtube and other Google services load from local cached servers.
 
Speeds are dog slow from this afternoon and inconsistent not constant. Fix my line is offline as well?

The latency looks to be spiking on the second hop already, are you seeing your performance be at this level consistently?

Thanks for the info. Last question. Any reason why I would have issues streaming from Netflix? Can browse Netflix fine but as soon as I try play something the loading spinner just spins for eternity. Places like Hulu work fine though. Pop my Mweb details back in and Netflix streams fine after a few seconds of loading

That is very strange, the performance for Hulu and Netflix should be close to identical. Do you have any of the Neftlix apps installed on your Mobile devices that you can test Netflix with?
 
Could an AfriPerson let me know why my line rental invoice received for Jan is for R499 and not the R425 advertised on your website for 20mbps DSL ?

Plus I received no line rental + data bundle discount.

Maybe I missed something.

I am honestly not sure why this happened with thewusman's bundle, but this is definitely not a common occurrence, and even if it does occur, we will fully credit out the affected user.

Is it just me, but I'm getting a lot of DNS time outs recently when loading pages? Checked the router and it is set correctly to the recommended Afrihost DNS servers.
 
I don't apper to be able to stream from any server this evening, even in SD, and pages are taking an age to open.

Netflix performance is pathetic, pulling around 100 Kbps on 4 Mbps line, is anyone else unable to access Netflix at present?

Try changing it to google's DNS?

Primary: 8.8.8.8
Secondary: 8.8.4.4
