Afrihost Capped DSL Feedback

Nearly a week later and I am still trying to get some help from one of the AH reps. If this is not one of the support channels any more, please tell me so I can seek assistance through other means.
 
I cannot access certain domains, the websites take forever then come up in a sort of text version. I have tried a temporary account from a competitor and it works wonderful no problems. What is going on? I am about to cancel everything I have with Afrihost.

This is really strange! You shouldn't be having any issues viewing any domains as we have no restrictions on our network that I know of. Could you please list the domains for me so I can test?
 
Good evening. Long time no chat. Would you be able to reset my port, as AH still manages my line? I will pm you my number.
EDIT: Could you maybe let me know if there are any port errors on my line?

EDIT: What you can do, as the company that manages my line, is to please help me find out if there are port errors on my line, how frequent, and possibly the source of the issue. Please message me when you can so we can get the ball rolling. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe domain was the wrong word to use. Perhaps websites from certain regions? I'm not sure. tradingview (dot) com was one, then luno (dot) com was also not working. It eventually loads to a text version of the website, really wierd. Thankfully I just tested them now as I have been using another ISP to access these sites and it seems to be working for now. Maybe its only at a certain time of day, maybe it's the exchange here, its been happening for 3 days in a row, I will have to test further.

That is very odd, as www.luno.com has offices in Capetown and they have local servers for South African users so you shouldn't be having an issue there.

What DNS settings have you been using?

yeah .. so i have a statement that shows in BLACK and WHITE that my account has a credit of R415... yet i was stilled billed .. and that too wrongfully!

i made an order for a 10mb/200GB bundle, was billed for an 8mb/200GB and a 10mb/200GB!!! Stacey from accounts insists its the developers fault that my account is in a credit?!!! what bull****! obviously my bank statements and YOUR own statements are wrong.. right?

Hi Zulfi, it sounds like we'll need to take a closer look at what transpired. Can you PM me so I can investigate? :(
 
[MENTION=192591]AfriMan[/MENTION] no connection this morning after switching on modem. Tried resetting it twice and entered logon details twice as well just to be sure the modem didn't lose info on reset but still nothing...help please?

The ADSL light is on and shows the modem is synced when logged into router...just no internet connection
