Latency all over the place again tonight and all http downloads are super slow. International Skype calls are breaking up terribly.
Yo guys. I'd been experiencing the same as you. I've moved to the AH Fibre network. YT has been running perfectly on that. No snags so far. Achieved line speed YT streaming last night. Problem, based on my personal experience and severe pain, is the AH DSL network. Mind you the Fibre network isn't free from it's own issues but is better in terms of YT, NNTP, latency.

I'm also getting HUGE latency spikes here in Durban today... 2000ms - 3000ms range!!

International latency sky high again, can't Skype, and now YouTube maxing out at 1mbps, normally see 8-12mbps
When will the issues be sorted????
Every single night Afrihost goes tits up for the past 4 weeks?

this has been 1 of the worst weekends specially Saturday and Sunday when we test with another isp there is no problems

Gaming latency has been quite bad this weekend, upward of 240ms in Heroes of the Storm on Afrihost. Switch over to Vox and down to a consistent 161ms.

Sorry you feel that way. As far as I'm away everything was running. Our upgrades have been put in place and we're seeing excellent performance on our monitoring and user tests.
Have you got any tests we can look at like traceroutes?

Our latency monitors (over the overall and regional networks) haven't shown any issues. Did you run any tests I can look at?
That definitely looks out of synch with our monitoring. Did you run a traceroute so we can see where the latency originates?
There is only one network. Both DSL and Fibre terminate at our closest point of presence and then we route from there. So if there is an ADSL problem and not on fibre, the issue is most likely an infrastructure issue on the Openserve network or exchange
