Afrihost Capped DSL Feedback

This morning my line went down at 8:10am. So no jamming for me. I tried to get a couple of rou ds in before my "prime time" ended and that was probibly seen and ended. My once 4mb line that is now 2.1mb is such a pain.

You will need a technician out I'm afraid. Seems there is a line fault if your line is going down that often
 
And wingnut... Where do you think i should move to since you seem to know so much? You clearly have no idea what going on here and now you added your 50c anyways. Okay. So lets take in accound what you said... So you say since i do not get support from my isp, something i pay for, as per you, i should 1- jusy accept it or 2- move house. So, as per you, the issue is not the lack of support. The issue is not afrihost ignoring me now for more than 3weeks... So either you know i will not get support and i should move to a place where i might not have congestion, spend 1.5mil on a new house plus lawyer's fees and and and just for a chance to get back what i had or just go on as i do now. So as per you this is acceptable. Is that what you saying? Then sorry. I do not accept this. I'm not fine with this. Afrihost - "pure internet joy". That is the promice they make. Not me. And for more than 3 weeks now i have no "pure internet" and for sure no "joy". So it all is a lie. And your okay with it. Nice boet. Thats why nothing will ever change for the better.

The reason I say move house because of an exchange problem is because you'll be waiting for Openserve (Telkom) for years to fix it, Afrihost have no control of Openserve and that's who you're dealing with, no matter who you give your money to.

Just pray your exchange is on the list for upgrades, sometimes it's easier just to move.

Is there a place to check if your exchange will be upgraded?
 
Not sure why you blame the ISP if your line keeps going up and down

I blame them coz they should manag my line. If that means sending out telkom then please do it. But they flat out ingnore the calls i log. They dont log calls with telkom. I'm asking for assistance and i get nothing.
 
Are afrihost throttling their capped accounts?

Almost everyday I notice that my usenet access slows down to a crawl and I get many many failed files after 7pm. If I switch to another account (vox or webafrica) it downloads at an decent speed and without the failures.

You're probably on their shaped account, check the wording of your account in clientzone, and maybe upgrade to unshaped?
 
do you even understand what people are saying when you read their posts because it sure as hell doesnt look like it

I'm not entirely sure what you mean to be honest. You reported being disconnected every 6 days. We explained why this is happening.
