That latency on the second hop doesn't look good at all. :( You should be seeing around 20ms to 30ms there.

That would definitely be contributing to increased latency on your connection. It's permanently running like that?

YouTube has been fine since I last posted.

I make use of other streaming sites and the throughput on those sites are terrible.
I'll be the rep about this if they respond to my post.

Which streaming sites have terrible throughput for you?

Any response from your Team?

Our Team did make a few changes last night. Could you test your connection again when you have a chance and see if there is any difference.

Just maybe some feedback from my side about the last couple of days. I did not do any http download tests, but below some latency graphs and tracerts

Only hits this latency after about 6-7pm every night without fail.

Now in a completely unrelated matter, my phone line and DSL line have been down since yesterday.
I created a ticket, as seen below

This was their response, after I made it clear that the "Telephone" and "DSL" was down.
I don't know if its just me, but it just looks like another Copy+Paste Response

Then this morning I messaged your FB page, I gave them my account details and so forth. They were adamant that my DSL was connecting, so I forwarded this.

ki3kDe3.png

Their response "I've just reset your DSL Line, can you please restart your modem quickly and see if there is any change."
How the does resetting my DSL line affect my Telephone line?

It's not just you. This is why I cancelled my account - the support team does not read tickets and they take forever to respond. I can handle the odd issues with the account at times, but I can't handle this level of "support". It just makes my blood boil.

And on that note... Down in Durban.... 80% packet loss

What pisses me off is the latency issue has been around for almost a year now. It comes and goes, without any real answer. Furthermore, the "support" from support staff is horrendous.

How is resetting a port going to fix my telephone lines, when its clearly a Telkom fault. All I wanted is some elevation and clarification.

How can they still state that my line is active, when there is no dial tone and DSL connectivity.
I've taken the problem into my own hands and had to log my own fault with Telkom

25% packet loss

Wondering if you can pull your magic (I currently pay Afrihost R199 and Telkom on Average R440 per month.

My Line: 2MB ADSL Line
My Data: 100GB Capped DSL Unshaped Data

I'm looking to save costs (Bundle Line + Data) and potentially optimize my internet - ie: Higher Speed / Less Data

Any suggestions to keep with the ball park of R660 p/m (including telkom costs - ie: phone line)

I'd say move to Telkom's new packages end of August unless Afrihost gives us something special soon...?
