Afrihost Capped DSL Feedback

On a CApped Fibre account and can also attest speeds this week have been dismal at night and latency to any euw server is shot.

This is not good! :( Could you please send trough a traceroute so I can check this out for you?

With regards to connectivity issues in the South. We have rolled over to a new link, but it looks clients with static IP address will still have a connection problem. :(

We still working on this and hopefully this will be sorted soon! :)

But thank you for the update regarding the issue in the South its nice to at least be kept up to date of issues.

Getting timeouts and high pings from international gaming servers - US and EU. Youtube buffering or not loading videos - East.

Hey

What is going on this morning? Every thing is taking forever to load. Your own website is giving problems (Cloudflare). I can't access the live page.

Getting timeouts and super slow connection in Mulbarton. Also can’t check the network status as it seems the Afrihost website is down.

My line has become unusable again all of a sudden since yesterday.

This is a 10mb line. It used to sync at close to 10mb but now it has dropped to sync at 5m (so it says), but it is not usable at all.

Same here in Amanzimtoti, line downstream sync is down from 12000kbps to 7000kbs, I normally had perfect 10mb operation. Pings are up locally by 20m/s on average with nice spikes of 1000+m/s.

Hey guys,

Apologies for the late post here. We received some reports of Network issues in the South of our Network on the 18th and the North on the 19th. Luckily this was resolved by our Team fairly quickly. Please feel free to let me know if you have any continued disruptions and I'll be happy to troubleshoot with you. :)

Getting a fair amount of timeouts when pinging servers. not too hectic but it is there. But my line is also not 100% so that might be it for me. Telkom dragging their feet in getting my fault sorted.

We're not seeing anything general. Could you post a traceroute or an MTR for me to take a look at?

10% packet loss on the first hops in Durban North. Bras was fine. It started at 16:08 and was resolved at 21:52.

It's the same issue that you posted about on the 5th and 13th I think it was (in the uncapped thread). It also happened multiple times last month as well which is why I wanted feedback about who is blame for the recurring faults.

If this keeps happening we definitely need to figure out what's going on. Could you post the traceroute here so that I can get a better idea as to what's going on.

The next time it happens I will do. Thanks
