Our Afrihost cloud servers aren't responding. Is anyone else having problems?

*edit*
It seems to be working again. Was panicking a bit there.

I was thinking by this time you'd be used to them going down so often

Well rest assured that Afrihost is monitoring the optimisation of this soon, and the experience will be networkable shortly in an awesome fix !!!

Same my side, two VM's down and can't access the Afrihost web site.

I've got two VPSs with them, one is down, the other is still up. I wonder if these guys have ever heard of clustering and redundancy, or whether all the money for that goes into marketing instead?

Gallo Manor is down again:

We're aware of a Hosting outage at our Gallo Manor DC. Engineers are investigating. We apologise to affected clients for the inconvenience

Three of my websites are down, only one working. I can't access cPanel or anything.
Also no response from their phone.
Can someone from Afrihost please tell us what's going on?
:wtf:

Their website is back up, although my server isn't. On the plus side, their network status page says that there aren't _any_ problems with the hosting network, so that's a huge relief! Oh wait...

Hi all

Looks like a power issue at Galo Manor has caused this, apologies for the downtime. Servers are coming back online as we speak.

AfriGuy, are these servers not on UPS? I am going to have a look at the state of my server when it comes up and if it had a cold power down I am going to be really upset. Perhaps you can elaborate more on the cause of this power issue.

I don't have further feedback I'm afraid.
Redundancy is in place, I'll need to await confirmation from the Engineers as to what the exact cause was.

Thanks AfriGuy; I will keep an eye on this thread and await feedback.

Can I also suggest that the web site is updated with this issue; it is fairly critical. The environment has been down for almost an hour now.

Our tech team are reporting that the majority of our servers are back up and running, we'll continue to monitor.

Are these physical servers? What about the cloud environment?

I see that Afriguy has put the notice on the network status page, which is a good thing. It does rather rub salt into the wound of a critical server being down when that notice is listed as 'Low Impact'. Afriguy, it might be worth noting that if it's of low impact to you, I might need to find a provider who treats it as more of an emergency.
