Afrihost Fibre Feedback

Finally connected! Happy camper! :D

A few questions:
1. Being on capped fibre, Clientzone shows only what has been consumed and not what's left. Being pro-rata until 1 Jul, this is problematic. How can I see how much I have left?

2. I have a significant amount of accumulated capped data on the ADSL side - any way I can have all or some of this transferred to the fibre account?

3. I have already been invoiced my ADSL data and Telkom line subs for July. Do I have to un-bundle before cancelling? Am I in for the ADSL ride for July regardless of what happens now?

4. I know that I have to cancel my phone line, the R 199 p/m version with Telkom directly. Does AH cancel my ADSL line component (managed by AH) or do you hand it back to me to cancel with Telkom?

5. Please confirm that there is 100% certainty about after hours free data on capped fibre with Afrihost? I did not notice this on the spec-sheets. What is the time? 00:00 to 08:00 daily?

Thanks!

Awesome! :D

Which Fibre provider did you opt to go for?

Ah! Okay, thanks. That's a strange error to occur, but it's definitely been corrected?

Capped Fibre accounts should receive After-Hours just like the DSL Capped accounts. :)

This is was not communicated on the phone to me by Afrihost. I asked if there was free data, and the rep said no. As a result, I went with an uncapped package. I'd much rather prefer to be on the capped..

Please drop me a PM with your account info and I'll confirm whether these benefits have rolled out to the provider supplying your line. :) You can switch to Capped Fibre any time, when you are ready. :)

Thank you. He even put me on hold to clarify and told me the FTTH accounts don't have the same benefits as DSL. I'm on OpenServe network. Right now, processing my order is more important than the capped/uncapped account, so will change when necessary :)

3 weeks and still no fibre, but everyone around me got theirs in the first week of applying.
It's a conspiracy.

1. You should see a breakdown of your data available. I'll reply to your PM as well, I just need your Username to check for you.

2. Being on Vumatel there isn't a way for that DSL data to be carried over. :( If you had an Openserve Fibre account you could just switch usernames but this won't work on Vumatel.

3. You won't need to un-Bundle to cancel your DSL account and DSL line. If you cancel now the cancellation will be effective from the 31st of July. I can arrange for your DSL data to be locked and then your account credited for that if you won't need the data.

4. We will cancel your DSL line, once that's done you just need to request that Telkom cancels your Voice line.

5. I'm checking with our Dev Team on the roll-out of this.

I sent you a PM two days ago.

It's with OpenServe.

Ah! My apologies, I assist a lot of Clients via PM so I don't always remember every question or query off of the top of my head. :)

We've escalated the query to our Fibre Team, but we're still waiting on feedback from Openserve. The moment we get news I'll let you know.

Thanks for the feedback! I also replied to your PM.

Edit: don't forget to keep us posted on the after hours free data the minute you hear from the dev team.

Will do!

Also want to clarify if orders before end of June receive a free modem or not?

I can check for you, but during your sign-up our system should have indicated whether or not you qualify for the promotion.

Is there any feedback in regards to Openserve on if they have received ONT modems yet? Apparently they were short on stock..
This no response or client services is getting terrible..

I have not heard any word of stock being replenished. :(
