Afrihost halves mobile data prices

I streamed radio all the way from Milnerton to Stellenbosch the other day on Afrihost and not once did the stream break up.

I streamed Pandora through a VPN on my iPad all the way from Johannesburg through to Lydenburg. I had no breaks in signal at all that whole time. The only time my signal broke, was when I went from Lydenburg into the mountains (which our Vodacom and Cell C phone also had broken reception understandably)/

My experience on the MTN networks are not great. (Had three contracts with them this year). Maybe they have improved since but for now, I will stay clear of their Big Edge networks. And I am staying in Pretoria not some run-down village on the coast.

Signed up for the 500mb+500mb package. Was active immediately.

Lets hope the promotion pricing will stay after it's reviewed in Feb.

Very clever way to start dialling down the free data available on the "Mobile three" promotion. ♫ A spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down... ♫

wait a sec! did my 10GB pm just drop to 7GB????

No, your 3gb + 7gb free Mobile three package just dropped to 3gb + 4gb free. ;)

IIRC that package was only guaranteed for a couple of months from the onset.

I think it was guaranteed to December, but it could also have been February, as with the other one (2+3GB).

Ah. here it is:

* Mobile Two Packages will get an additional 3GB of FREE Anytime data (worth R1782!) on top of the normal 2GBs until 28 February 2014, at which point the offer will be revised or extended. * Mobile Three Packages will get an additional 7GB of FREE Anytime data (worth R2079) on top of the normal 3GBs until 30 November 2013, at which point the offer will be revised or extended.

You definitely do not want a security barrier that nobody can see. If they think the opening is unprotected they will go for it and if they are in your premises and at the door with a crew bar the mesh will be like soft butter to these guys. If they see real burglar bars from the street they will rather go for the next house with no security in front of the openings.

Huh? :wtf:
Wrong thread?

This is awesome, but I also had to lower mine down to 1 gig instead of 3 because the quality was so poor and I couldn't actually download that much. :(

I don't think the Mobile Data is in such demand that people will go at length to steal it ... thus you are probably right about having proper burglar bars. :p:whistle:

Ah. here it is:

I recall that. Time flies. But the title is misleading for some contracts

they should bring 30 / 50Gb bundles, then i can kick ADSL
MTN 2-3 x faster up n down than my 'socalled' 4mpbs adsl

edit... sorry make that 10mbps line... Telkom now increased but still not as it should be

Another vote here and in the exact same situation with ADSL.
