We'll definitely try and get some feedback for you. If MTN have received your coverage form then they should be able to give us some information :(

plz do this is getting worse day by day

Generally dongles tend to use a standard SIM, but it really depends on the device. I searched Google but couldn't find a specific reference to the SIM size for the device. This doc seems to indicate (size wise) that it's probably standard:

With regard to delivery, I believe that all RICA deliveries over a certain amount qualify for free delivery. That should be stated on the website, will check on that :(

The data sheet shows free delivery on the 500MB product, but the small print states otherwise. Would suggest that you then rather change the graphic to a red cross by free delivery.
5 Delivery
- FREE Delivery is available to most major centres. In some cases, a surcharge may be charged for remote outlying areas.
- Mobile 250 and Mobile 500 DO NOT qualify for FREE Delivery - a RICA Delivery Fee of R149 will be charged for these packages.
- 48 Hour Delivery for Non-RICA deliveries is not guaranteed, but generally attainable in Major Centres. If not in a prime coverage area it might take a day or two extra to be delivered.
- In the case of RICA deliveries, our courier will contact each client individually within 2 Business Days (upon clearance of payment). Final delivery will then be subject to client’s availability and available delivery time slots in those areas.
- Deliveries take place during business hours on weekdays, weekends are excluded from all time calculations.
- Delivery times stated do not include additional delays for payment clearance.
- Credit card payments are verified immediately, while a delay of up to 5 working days can be expected with Debit Orders for verification and clearing of funds (depending on the bank payment is made from).

Sorry to hear you're cancelling :( Wasn't the area sufficiently covered?
You can submit a cancellation via ClientZone.

Being there done all that and got no response nor feedback. Due to issues I had to use CellC data for a while now. Gaming was a pleasure to say the least. This easter weekend passed I had the opportunity to use Afrihost data again What a nightmare in comparison.

I will restore my Afrihost account soon as things are now resolved but let me state I am not to keen on good expectations. Sure it may be signal related but I do think the Afrihost system have a lot to do with it as even when I had good speeds on testing the connections the gaming still remain average in comparison via CellC with poorer test speeds.

Gaming is latency dependant and variations in ping will cause problems. I never recommend gaming on mobile becuase 3G and 2G will see occasional spikes in latency. LTE does seem to be a lot more stable, but it depends on coverage.

Mine is a bit better than yours but there's something wrong this last while.

Download Speed: 142 kbps (17.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 600 kbps (75 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 288 ms

And this is with 4 bars signal.

This was last night, I'm away on business in PE and decided to download a torrent.

Signal: Excellent
Type: HSDPA

After a while I started nodding off so decided to switch connections to my Vodacom account.

Spot the difference:

occasional spikes? What an total understatement.

Well unfortunately as I stated the CellC gaming on 3G works a charm, hardly and lag for long periods, I can play for hours with no kicks or disconnections, etc, but on Afrihost I have continual kicks, bans and horrid pings and lag. Sorry mate, its checkmate!

The only reason I will still use afrihost is for total cost and no OOB but otherwise not a chance anymore. That filling in the forms and inform MTN is just a useless PR stunt to deflect from the real issue or problems which is probably your shaping or whatever. You would know for sure, we don't. I am not the only one complaining, my son and his wife both on MTN with Afrihost as well as my daughter, all in LTE range, also find the Afrihost performance poor compared to what it was since we all joined until up to a year or so ago. Sad but true

Upgraded my MTN phone contract yesterday and how my AH APN doesn't work anymore - is there some trickery that AH needs to do for this to work again?

1+ you never get feedback from mtn

I bet you 99% of the time if you do get feedback mtn will say we can't do anything about it

We'll need to re-provision it from our side.

Was the upgrade on your Mobile 500 APN package?
