This is what I get on your MiFi . 3G with 3 Bars seeing as MTN has useless coverage here.

Haha! Man we'll all switch if that happens.

For sure!

Does IceQB know something we don't know?

Damn i so hope!

But im sure Afrihost can see by there numbers by now how many users are on the 10GB packages.
They will be able to make sums.... With the current broadband trend of users using more mobile data this could see them gaining a bigger market share in this sector.
But time will tell, xmas is around the corner.
Do you think Afrihost has a surprise in store for us?

Hopefully we will know what is happening with Mobile Three(3+7) product in 2 weeks time.

My opinion it will definitely be here to stay and won't change in the near future to come, probably more bandwidth will be allocated in 6months time

I have just bought another 3+7. 10 just wasn't cutting it, I was topping up every couple of days. I reckon a package of 100GB/200GB will do nicely. If it goes down to 3 I will be very disappointed.

@Afrihost - Can you guys see the demand for bigger packages? Why don't you guys do a poll here on MyBB. Speak to the guys up top, put some rough packages and prices together and then do a poll on here to see who would be interested in which package, it will give you guys a nice idea for forecasting.

I would love something in the range of a 15-20GB package also

20GB a bit too little. 50GB or so would be ok. 100GB you're pushing it, 200GB WTF? Get yourself ADSL.

See if you're able to find a sweet spot in the area. If there's no luck there then the area most likely isn't LTE ready :(
Is the SIM one of ours, or an MTN SIM?

I'll have to do some serious searching as it seems not even North Gate has LTE access? I am using a MTN contract sim provisioned for your service.

Have you requested an LTE provision from us yet?

I am using a MTN Mifi Device with standard sim, provisioned on your network - should I have the sim also provisioned for LTE service on your network, I will not be able to use the same sim in the current device (Not LTE compatible) and the sim will not fit in my Xperia Z.

If I can get a LTE signal to show on my phone - as per the previous comment, North Gate does have LTE coverage (Very close to where I reside) - perhaps I should consider provisioning my micro sim (used in Xperia Z) for data / LTE on your network to avoid purchase of an additional device?

Will force LTE mode the next time I am there this month - on the Xperia Z - as I am yet to see a LTE signal on my phone, thanks for confirming :)

Keep us posted. If you aren't winning drop me a PM with your account info and I'll see if we have LTE enabled on your SIM.

Um...Hulu Plus? A lot of people don't have fast enough ADSL due to distance, exchange limitations, congestion, etc. Good 3G or LTE is the only way to live stream Hulu. Turn off DSTV and watch Hulu everyday...then the gigs will really rack up.

I'll take a 100GB account thank you. :)

My point is, it's too early to adopt it for higher end packages. Maybe in a year or two.

I'll pay for 100GB right now. I've got R1,000pm for mobile data. I'm over DSL unless VDSL suddenly appears at my doorstep - which it won't.
