I'll need to check if you MiFi is in the original 8,000 batch, or the new batch that left yesterday. If you're in the 8,000, then you should receive your delivery today according to MDS. If not, we're aiming for before the end of the week if all goes according to plan :(

Anybody in the Potchefstroom area signed up for this, MTN's awesome coverage map promised 3G, but struggling a lot.
Thinking of buying an external antenna, just want to know it will be worth it?

EDIT: Received my wifi device not long after posting ^ Thank you to Gian and the rest of the Afrihost team. Everything works out-the-box, reception is a bit iffy where I am (2G) but will test it at home :)

Yes. Head to the new clientzone and find the "Edit Package" button under Connectivity.
 
Anyone know the outgoing (smtp) email settings while connected to Afrihost Mobile? Tried 'mail.mtn.co.za' but no go?

Edit: 'smtp.afrihost.co.za' works.

Just remember for some incomprehensible reason they pro rata the data for the month so you cannot buy another 10Gb as such

Hmm... tasty. Seems I have LTE coverage in these here parts too... Now that could be very tasty :D
 
Thought i would share too, but DONT laugh.

I get the above at home ( computer room, which wifey hates cos i basically live there ), but only when positioned on a VERY SPECIFIC SPOT on my desk. Literally 2 mm left, right, up or down and i get orange bars 3g on device, which shows 0 ~ 1 bar on the web interface, or 2G full bars.
Loving this device, modem in pocket entire day, ipad, iphone and laptop connected. Really, really well done afrihost.
Wanna upgrade to 10GB, and really hoping that it doesn't just abruptly end end of November.

:D Nothing to laugh at, those are pretty decent stats I say. My device at home also has to be strategically placed and like you, if I move it a little my signal goes orange. When it's in the sweet spot it works well though.

Yes, just upgrade in clientzone and you'll pay a pro-rata difference based on the remaining days of the month :)

It's pretty logical, we want to be as fair as possible to anyone signing up. Some may perceive that signing up mid-month may not enable them to make full use of the data they get (others of course will use it in full). We feel that by using pro-rata methods on data and billing, if the client wants more data they have the additional funds to do so, but if they can't use the data they are not penalising for signing up late in the month. It's the standard method we use on all our products when you signup mid-month :)

When will the Mobile 3 sim cards be send out ? Ordered 1 and payment was verified on 8/9/2013. So the payment amount is calculated on date you have ordered although you may only receive your sim card 1 or 2 weeks later ?
