If Afrihost would make a Mobile 20 package (20 gig + 20 gig free) for R990 I would be on that like white on rice. :)

Anybody agree?

We'd love to offer bigger packages - I think it's definitely a possibility. It also depends on whether we can make Mobile Uncapped a reality :)

My friend ordered a afrihost sim this weekend. How long does delivery in Johannesburg take about these days? Hopefully not as long as when they started last year.

Think the Mobile Uncapped idea is still bit of a pipe dream. But bigger packages would be awesome. :)

No, that was mostly due to that huge response to the initial offer which no-one really predicted. Generally, once payment clears, client receive their delivery in about 48 hours :)

Keep in mind that, if ordered on a Friday, it'll take more than 48 hours ;) :D

I am super happy with Afrihost. Fast, stable, cheap, flexible and good support from the mybroadband rep. The ordering process could be a bit slicker than it is in terms of length and communication, but if you give it 7 days it should be there. But once that's done its amazing. If you have a Vodacom, MTN, cellc or even TM contract (except for TM big contracts) I would recommend switching over it will save you tons of money and not lock you in for 24 months. And since it's month to month it has some of the benefits of prepaid.

I'm just sad I didn't order during the free mifi promotion so I missed that one :p keep it up AH.

That's awesome! We love hearing that our clients are getting the service the expect (and more) ;)

Hi Afriman,

I'm not sure where else to turn. All Afrihost users at Fancourt (George) have been offline since Sunday 23 March. It would appear that the tower is not accepting their 3G connections.
Error on Afrihost Mifi devices: No signal.

If there's any way that you guys could help escalate this issue with MTN it would be *highly* appreciated, as phonecalls and even tweets at MTN_support are all fruitless thus far.

I realize it's MTN infrastructure, but unfortunately the users only see the Afrihost logo on the Mifi's and things are getting very dire.
Thanks in advance.

It's an Afrihost account, you're being billed by them, they have to sort it out. You should never have to contact MTN at all!

Not true. I know with their ADSL lines they manage, they send you to Telkom if there is a problem. So I don't see how this is any different. MTN infrastructure, they will post you to MTN?
