I did reprovision the SIM so you should be able to connect. Will reply to your PM and check your authentication history.

I'm not sure of all the technical details, but it seems to be between ourselves and MTN. We're working with their senior engineers to find the cause of this. I know it's been a frustrating time for clients over the last few days :(

Does it matter if the APN is Afrihost or must it be afrihost, all in lowercase?

APN should be set as lower case not upper case if you on prepaid method shouldn't matter I think.

Crossing fingers that there will be a resolution soon.
It is irritating receiving a call from mom telling me her internet is down I cannot reason with her next time I am going to give her your contact details that way you can explain to her in detail what is happening as she doesn't buy this nonsense.

@Afriman, seems the LTE sim I was given is faulty. Tried it in my MiFi device and it didn't work. The MiFi sim worked in the Zest phone.

How do I get a new sim?

The SIM card isn't faulty (probably needs to be re-provision again for LTE). Just drop Afriman a private message with the number in question that way they can verify everything on their end

It is the Promo Data sim received with the Zest phone which isn't a LTE device. Not sure why they gave me such a sim in any event. Are they downward compatible?

False message regarding DATA CAP usage. No connectivity on MIFI.

I am extremely frustrated as I keep receiving messages regarding used all data quota when I have not exceeded the monthly quota. I have to contact support to reset the device (this may take hours during busy times and then it is fixed for a few minutes and then resets with the same message).

Are Afrihost going to compensate users as they are not able to provide the service that we are paying for ?

Needs to be provisioned the sim card drop Afriman/afriguy a message with the number in question can take up to 24 - 48 hours..

Afriman did reprovision the sim. They are now checking with MTN if it needs admin activation on the MTN side & whether rica is in order.

Waiting for their reply. :(

@afriman, is there a network problem in the Pretoria east area? Been trying to connect this entire evening without any success.

Have tried resetting the mifi multiple times.

same could not connect again last night FFS come on afrihost is it going to happen tonight also ?

Im battling stying online ATM. I have full signal but no throughput whatsoever. We have a MTN repeater/booster/whatever so doubt its signal. Any suggestions?

Hey guys,

Getting a LTE B593 device to test, will my afrihost sim work? Do I need to get one specifically to access LTE speeds?
