What phone are you using?

I have passed it on. I think there are quite a few updates we'd like to make to the App when we get the time to work on it, so we'll add that onto the wishlist :)

Speaking of the app, can we please also get a logout button on the Android version. My phone doesn't have a menu button(S5). Every time I need to logout for whatever reason I end up having to delete app data which isn't ideal.

Thanks. Updating the icon should be a matter of minutes though, so I really hope to see this in the next update.

We can look into it. Most people only have on ClientZone so it's not a common request though :(
 
I have a MTN Branded Huawei E3131 and it is working fine with my Afrihost sim after changing the APN to "afrihost" in the MTN software.

1. Is it possible to use the Afrihost branded software with this dongle? (Both are Huawei E3131)
2. If yes, can someone please upload it to ftp or mediafire or somewhere else?
3. Can I change the software on the dongle to the Afrihost software?

This is kind of a reply to the thread in general.

We haven't been monitoring this thread to be honest, we've been dealing with any queries that come through on our Official Mobile thread:

It would be generally better as otherwise it's hard for us to make sure that every query gets answered. At the time of launch there were about 3 (or more) Zest threads and it was difficult to provide assistance on all of them.

With regard to Zest's practices, I guess that's totally up to them, I can't say what is behind what they do or say. But I can imagine that as a young company, this is something they will learn to manage better and get better at working around negative sentiment and complaints. Take it from me - it ain't easy being cheesy.

Please post on our Mobile thread if you have queries, or PM and I promise you'll always get an answer form our side.
 
I have seen a few clients bring this up before, but doesn't seem to be a prominent issue :(
Have you chatted to Zest directly about this?

I haven't. What's the suggested way to contact them about this?
 
This is an urgent request for a "Session Audit" function/button from within the clientzone/app because this capped issue is getting ridiculous. Each and every Afrihost client that contacted me in the past month had a capped problem where they obviously still had cap left but their browsing gets redirected to a capped page. Sitting with another one now, but the support lines are closed so I cannot instigate a session audit. :(
 
I've never had any major signal issues, but the last couple of days I keep on getting a red signal indicator on my Huawei E5331 Mobile Wi-Fi quite frequently. At home I now have to switch to my Telkom WiFi and I also had to buy a Vodacom data bundle on my phone for when the MiFi isn't working.

Is my MiFi device about to break (Warranty expires 20/08/2014) or is the MTN signal very ****ty in the Cape Peninsula lately?

I think the Afrihost Firmware is specifically designed for the E5331, so I don't think we can replace the firmware on another device.

That you'll need to chat to Zest directly about. I know they had addressed some partition queries in their last OTA update, but if you want to have your own custom settings, you'll need to check with them.

They're best channels seems to be via their Facebook page :)
