Am experiencing the slow speed in Edenvale and Linbo Park.

Has there been any improvement or change in your speeds this morning? If you the issue persists, please send me a PM with the username of the account and I will look into this.

Any one in Cape town experiencing slow speeds & erratic connection problems?
Getting quite annoying now:mad:

From what I could see there were not any widespread issues last night in Cape Town. How is your connection this morning?

I am also in Cape Town. Line keeps dropping every 10-20 minutes for the past 48hours. Logging onto the router after the line has dropped I can see I am still assigned an IP. However I have no internet access. Tried with an 8ta sim on the router and no problems. At my wits end, helpdesk keep telling me to reboot the router.

How is gaming with Afrihost mobile 3G?

LTE would be a better option. If you don't have a LTE device or coverage if you are connected to a 3G tower that is fast and not congested it can be good too. 3G is more likely to have the spikes in latency as more people use the internet that are connected to the same tower. With LTE the towers don't get congested much now because its not such a wide used technology yet.

What's the average local latency with LTE?

Fine certain times, sad other times. Signal strength with good Ec/Io (quality) is the key. I regularly play Killzone online with little or no lag.

MTN signal strength are very suspect lately.

Capped webpage is back, even though I have bandwidth available. Is this bug ever going to be solved?

^^ In the foreseeable [-]near[/-] future.
Yeah, been many months already. Really not good enough, I have to put up with days on end of no internet access, even though I've paid for bandwidth

It sounds very strange. If you are being assigned an IP then you should be on our network. Do you normally get good speeds at that location. Perhaps it's only getting 2G signal, which is connected but super slow for anything except push notifications :(

Gaming is very latency dependant and Mobile is not always great for latency. LTE seems to be much better, but it's hard to guarantee. Gaming generally doesn't require a lot of data, but you may also need to be aware of updates and service packs :(
