So December is around the corner I wonder what will be waiting for us :P

:)

The Directors have not yet made a decision on the Double Data promotion, we should be hearing from them soon. As soon I know, I will let you guys know!

Same in my area , network service has gone from hero to zero in 1 month who wants to split costs on a billboard?

Are you experiencing these slower speeds at all times of the day? Or is it limited to certain times?

Someone needs to think long and hard on this!

Currently your 1GB offering is R99 PM - Cell C Pre-paid 12 month bundles work out to 1GB for R74.91 PM or 2GB for R108.25

I have already made a backup plan and have 2GB of Cell C Mobile Data with 21Mbps Modem from MWeb for R89 PM which will keep me going while I seek a new offering, should Afrihost develop nutty stupid MTN syndrome!

This is another worry, now that you are owned by MTN with their head in sand "charge'em more for everything" approach (look at their stance on OTT players like Whatsapp) I can see the end of double data, which I'm sure everyone will agree is the ONLY thing making your mobile offering worthwhile. Take this away and you will lose almost your entire customer base within a few hours!

No one here believes MTN when they say what's being offered is actually making a loss... If this was fact, then MTN need to sell up shop! Almost all European networks offer around 3 - 5GB of data for a token charge each month. Perhaps MTN need to be told that we are past the millennium now? :wtf:

Although MTN has a majority stake in Afrihost now, for all intents and purposes we are remaining entirely separate entities. Afrihost will continue to determine and implement our own pricing structures for our products.

Our Directors have not yet decided whether or not the Double Data offering will continue, the decision they make will be made entirely on their own merits without any interference from MTN.

Whatever choice they make, we will be sure to keep you guys up to date. :)

Just remind them that we're eyeing Axxess's 3 month data rollover, and it's the price (specifically the double data) that's keeping us at Afrihost :)

I actually just found out about a very cool product that we are launching very soon, I am testing it now, and it is awesome. I am sure it may end up swaying you towards sticking with us.

I hope they are thinking of competing the Neotel Wireless uncapped offering.

I've been pretty impressed with my Afrihost SIM and MiFi device so far.

Connection does get a bit crappy now and then - but I suspect this is more to do with iffy signal where I stay than the Afrihost / MTN networks.

We can always log a coverage query to find out if there's away to improve your signal. MTN are pretty good about trying to give you the best experience.
