OK, so my 500MB from the Plus product has disappeared after 4 days, just great. No new allocation.

The trial was supposed to be for 30 days.

Think that I will cancel Plus right now and start shifting my other stuff over to a new ISP, considering that double data ends at the end of December.

The switch over to Axxess isn't seamless. AH first need to remove your number from their system, and only then Axxess can provision it for their APN as MTN doesn't allow you to be provisioned for both at the same time.

That is the boat I am in currently :D

It's just a data sim for me, so no issue.

That is why I use dual sim phones.
 
Did you check if you can get the 20GB + 20GB data option? It goes for R987 + R99 for Plus+ is R1086 which is not bad. It would mean you always have the double data promo and the 2 for 1 topup. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

It will also eliminate the need for more than 1 plus+ addon as you have 40.5GB data in one package.

Decided to give this a go and see how it goes.

Just one questions, would like to give the smify music streaming a go, but is it going to cost me data or is it free of data cost ?

Unfortunately it's not zero rated, so it will count towards your monthly data.

I think it's an awesome idea, I know some ideas had been thrown around for zero rating things like the ClientZone. I'm sure we'll see something like this - just not 100% sure when.
 
Just I only used it for a couple of hours and used 200MB.
That and a really buggy Android app makes me think I will not use it in the future.
 
Yes, it keeps displaying android de bugging info. It also started playing randomly with no way to turn it off but task manager then killing it.

That's weird, what device are you using?
I did quite a bit of driving around this weekend and had my phone hooked up to the car, no issues and streamed a stack.

Cool. It is pretty cool if you ask me. R1086 for 40.5GB of anytime data and when using it with a Afrihost LTE mifi or a LTE router it is pure internet joy if you ask me. 40.5GB is a decent amount of data especially for mobile data and on MTN LTE it makes it a great replacement for ADSL.

Useless if it's only a minority... My maximum package is 15GB + 15GB.

I wonder why they only allow certain people to get the 15GB+15GB package and 20GB+20GB packages? I don't understand because they said they won't be making it permanent any time soon. Then why allow only certain people :confused:
 
For 4 -3 month this has been going on.

During the day I get

It has come to the point that I can't even open speedtest.net This will be my last month with afrihost. If its still the later this month

Asked for help from 2 Afripeople, filled out the MTN form but there has been no improvement.
It cost me 3 Gb of data I couldn't use last month and of course all the data bundles I have had to buy elsewhere to keep me connected.
It is fairly pathetic that for a week and a half I cannot connect my main PC to the net.
As a client of Afrihost I don't want to get handed off to MTN and their service. There is a reason I left them 2 years back.

I agree with you, Who are we playing? Afrihost .Anyways I went out of my way to log a fault via mtn from my side and still nothing. Really fed up with them and I am also a client from the start of afrimobile data

It is a stock Note 2, if you look at the reviews on the play store you will see the same issues being raised there.
