I'd ignore it.
South Africa’s biggest forum. Discuss, discover, and connect with thousands of members.
I've tried it elsewhere and yeah - the connection was better. I'm currently connected to my phones cellc because I can't browse at all with AH mobile. Not sure if there's anything that can be done / investigated? Gonna pm you my number fwiw.
I got this sms to my afrihost data sim that I got with my phone:
Here with your MTN Invoice for account <snip>, the amount of R4.99 is due on 25-02-2015. To view your account details please visit http://mtnactive.mobi or https://mycontract.mtn.co.za or call 809.
Should I worry about this?

I wouldn't give it much thought. Unfortunately some spammers use number generation to send out bulk SMS, so I doubt it's actually from MTN. If it is though, it may relate to a previous owner of this number.
My SO got the same SMS & same amount, for account A4886629. Will ignore, thanks.
The issue is only affecting Afrihost. MTN data is working correctly.
3 mifis not working, 2 MTN contract sims with data not working
Changing the MTN sims to use the MTN AP works fine.
ETA on a fix?
3 devices on afrihost apn is dead, switch al 3 to mtn apn they work.... not mtn network but afrihost network.
Is there any eta on the solution? Sitting without data here atm, and it gets costly if I have to use my 3G.
