Hmmm, if you cancelled last night, it should be effective at the end of February. Have you received an invoice for your Mobile Data yet?

No, that normally comes through at the end of the month. I've had this account since you were giving away mifi devices, moving to your sister company as they still offer free double data.

Just saying.

So I paused this service last month and it said it pauses for up to 6 months. Today, I get an invoice and it will be unpaused 1 march through no choice of my own. What is the deal with pausing? Must I do it each month in anticipation of the next? That was not my understanding so I think cancelling will just be easier.

This is a coverage form that is sent straight to MTN, and it will help them in figuring out if the issue is related to a signal dead spot, or poor coverage, and they'll then take the appropriate steps to correct the issue.

I filled in that form a month ago - they emailed saying someone will contact me within 96hours.
I am yet to be contacted!

Do you remember when you activated the Pause feature? Our system will still generate an invoice for each product that you have with us, but you will not actually be billed for it.

My apologies for the slow response, our Account's Team is a bit busy with all of the Chargeback queries, they will definitely back to you as quickly as possible, and if there were any errors they will gladly correct it.

why is this happening I never ever call for a charge back on my credit cards.. :( and for afrihost its the only one doing it....

From what we have seen so far, it is the actual credit card company that is generating the chargebacks. We are working with our bank, to find a better way to handling the chargebacks, but so far things have been a bit hectic.

As I said, it is entirely possible that you are being invoiced, without being charged. Could you please send me a PM with your Mobile Data details so that I can check on this for you.
 
What I don't understand is. I have used my credit card with steam takealot kalahari other game sites and afrihost is the only one that get charges backs and this is the second time it happened :wtf: Last time the money did go back to my card but this time I am still waiting

I do not have specifics as yet, but we have worked with Capitec and a few other banks to ensure that something similar to this does not happen again.
 
I'm also battling with this.... I have received a notification from afrihost of charge backs just to see that a total of R4700 is now suddenly due on my afrihost account for services from September 2014 to January 2015.

I'm absolutely shocked and have to run around and fight with easypay why these charges was reversed but my account not credited back. Now I need to figure out my budget to pay this enormous bill.

These charge backs seem to have comes from both my Capitec and easy pay account and both accounts don't show the money returning but also don't show the deductions on the statement.

Afrihost billing just say if it is not on the statement then the money was reversed even though I argued that if it was reversed then why is that also not showing on the statement.....

Same here :( mine is also not back on my account, I am waiting for easypay to send statement so i can show afrihost.

The charge back was never payed back into my easy pay account

cave can you let me know if you get anything out of them on your side..? Mine is a lot smaller only R450.00 or something like that, But same sorry afrihost said they did refund me but no proof on my easy pay account or statements

No you shouldn't be getting an invoice unless you went out of bundle or you did a topup. Topups will remain active while your account is paused. I can check your account for you, but once you pause, you stay paused until the set date.
