Working 100% now.

So since last week Wednesday my 3g HSDPA has full signal but pages times out. this is on my afrihost and mtn sim. I logged a fault and they said yes the tower alarmed and the fault should be fixed by last week Friday.


Well its monday and still need to use edge .. So if its now fixed by end of the week ill come and pm you see if we can doing something about it. Coverage fault is logged so lets see

Sounds like you've done everything from your side - we'll follow up wherever we can if the problem persists :(

I've been having the same problem. Full 3G signal on the device, but throughput just stops randomly. Afrihost support say there's nothing wrong? And my laptop works just fine at work.

Does this only happen in one area or multiple?
 
I drooped him a pm yesterday so just don't want pm everybody then there are 10 people on one case :D
 
I am chilled I even got the network engineers number for Northern-cape for mtn, Left a message cause I can't seems get help from mtn
 
Its almost 2 weeks now I have been using edge, Because 3g does not work. The lack of feedback from mtn is shocking. I reported it as soon as possible but have not heard a word and my work is suffering from this :(

I'm sure it'll get fixed soon :)
Sounds like your area has a history of issues though, I remember a few months back you seemed to be struggling with a similar issue?

Yea hey that took almost a year to fix the congested tower :(
 
If it comes to the end of the month and my 3g is still not fix I am closing my afrihost account and moving to cellc...

They have nice 10 Rand per gig package and I only 1 bar of 3g but its faster then edge and it works

Sorry to hear that :( I'm sure MTN are doing everything they can to stabilise/ normalise your areas throughput.

I can't open mybroadband.co.za thats how bad the 3g is that is 0 throughput... calling coverage to tell me there is nothing wrong with the tower in your area.


If somebody would just say from mtn side. look we are working on it but the feed back you get from them is ZERO.

look my work is suffering from this and this has been on going from 9th I have the full right to be on edge about this issue ... I can drive 1km and get a tower that working fine but I can't move my house 1km.

I assume you've already had a coverage query logged with MTN on this?
