I was slightly amazed at Afrihost support today...
A client recently purchased a router from us and they chose to go the Afrihost route.
We set up the router and set up the APN and even tested the router with our own Afrihost SIM to ensure the APN was 100% and so the customer would need only to insert their Afrihost SIM when it arrived, turn on and go!
After a week, the client got their SIM and it "didn't work" and the support line condemned the new router as faulty.
Long story short, if Afrihost send a micro-SIM when a Mini SIM is required it's not going to work... :wtf:
OK, I'll grant you that the customer may have requested the wrong SIM size but why could no one in support see the issue? They were told the router model number and they must have a record of the SIM type sent.
Any way, a SIM adaptor fitted and the customer is up and running... Our credibility 100% Afrihost 0%!
