I'm also happy yo hear that it's working again, I'm sorry it had to come to that, we definitely could have done better. And finally it's working again . Thank you @AfriGuy
It still bugs me that it took so long and had to rant here to get it done
I'm sorry to hear thatI've also been experiencing the problem with the data connection several people have reported in this thread. I opened a ticket June 1st, and got it escalated to the development team on June 16th, but they haven't contacted me, or responded to my request for an update on June 22nd.
I also sent @AfriNatic a DM via this forum June 16th, but he/she hasn't responded to that either (and I see they have activity in another thread two days ago).
Terrible service, Afrihost! I am losing my patience.
Hi guys, I'm trying to get the pure Uncapped DSL deal but it says that I have no coverage when I do have an existing copper line.
Any ideas as to what I can do about it?
I've been told to ask for help here as Afrihost cannot always resolve these issues. I have two mobile packages with Afrihost. Unfortunately the data on my wife's is not working. I have obviously checked the APN settings 100 times, no problem there. Where do I start to resolve this?
I'm sorry to hear that
Are you able to let me know what's happening? What your ticket reference is?
DM sent
I'm really sorry I don't know how I missed your message but I'm going to be jumping on this asap top get it sorted.
Telkom Fixed LTE

Wireless | Terms | Afrihost
A summary of Wireless terms and conditions that forms part of the agreement between you and Afrihost.www.afrihost.com
8.9 Telkom wireless packages may only be changed in ClientZone on one (1) occassion within a three (3) month calendar period. Package changes are submitted at the end of the month, and become effective at 23h59. The effective date of the package change (and not the date of request) initiates the 3 month period, during which no package changes are possible until the period expires.
8.10 Downgrades of Telkom Fixed Wireless packages will result in a R499 downgrade fee, payable on the 1st day of the new month when the new package becomes effective.
@AfriNatic - question on the Telkom Fixed LTE offer, nowadays, as I was on it before (including the router provided by Afri.). Has the Telkom data usage been integrated into the ClientZone (like MTN's has), or would I still need to check using the Telkom USSD code ? (*188# I think it is).
If not yet, do you foresee it being integrated in the future ?
With what's going on with the MTN data at the end of each month, I'm considering cancelling my MTN SIM, then ordering a Telkom SIM only through yourselves, and checking via *188# again, as I don't recall any issues via that method, previously.
I think the only negative, is that night-time data on Telkom gets finished at the end of each month, and only the normal data not used, rolls over - can you confirm that as well ?
Thanks.
EDIT : This is quite frightening ; don't recall seeing these terms when I last had a Telkom SIM through Afri. :
8.9 - don't recall bolded part being a stipulation in the past ?
8.10 - If one takes out prepaid data directly through Telkom, can "downgrade" without penalty, simply by buying less data (down to the most base package offered), so don't know why a fee for downgrading / such a high fee is charged through Afri.
so now my second sim has just lost all signal , no service @AfriNatic , i have sent you a pm
please assist
resentMorning,
I checked but I don't see a pm from you.
What frequencies/bands does MTN fixed LTE use?
