Hi guys,

We are aware of degrade Mobile APN performance. It's been for about a week or so now. We are constantly engaging with MTN on a fix as the problems seem intermittent and not a hard down causing some difficulty locating and fixing the issue.

We have added a notice yesterday and are still working on the issue with MTN.

@AfriNatic thanks for letting us know, it’s been a long week without functional mobile data, hope you guys sort it soon.

We are taking the issue very seriously. We are working with MTN. We have quite a bit of staff and clients using the data working from home with similar issues so it's top priority to resolve.

It has been going on a lot longer than a week. I first experienced it on May 27 and intermittently, all over the country since. Including yesterday.

It's becoming a real pain. We use an app to auth when we enter our building and sometimes it takes me a good 3 - 5 minutes to get the app working on Afrihost, IF it works at all.

This morning I had to revert back to the MTN APN, buy the cheapest data bundle, and waited for it to show as active before I could head in. It's infurating.

Hey everyone,

MTN has made changes over the weekend that should have improved the overall performance.

We are still getting complaints that the APN is intermittent. We are still investigating.

Morning,

Can you get me a trace route. If you can hotspot your laptop or desktop and do a few trace routes so I can send this through to our Noc team to have a look.
Sure, how do I go about that, I'll do one for you soon as I can

You can call 136 press option 4 then press option 3

That will give you options to change from Voicemail Lite to Voicemail.
Thanks for that. Doing as instructed and prompts confirm normal Voicemail is active and I also have a message recorded. Ringing my own number and it goes to Voicemail Lite. Any ideas?

This is something that MTN would need to investigate. Please give them a ring on 135.

Hi,

This results are quite difficult to read. Are you sure you are connected to the APN though as a 1.3ms result would seem like fibre and not mobile data.

Hi there

I used a website to do it when I had full signal. At my house signal is low. Wanted the best result. I can do it again
