Afrihost Mobile review

I got off the phone with them a few minutes ago. Sadly, the deal is only available with the device. Strange, but true (unless the person I spoke to was wrong).

Then wait until the 3rd of Sept when it goes open to non-AH clients too. At that point you can even order it in such a manner that you can add tje AH APN to your MTN contract sim, in order to use the AH data on your phone with your MTN call billing...

I have the same issue - it's pretty much useless at my house, but then again, that's not where I need it. So lets hope for the best at other locations!

Same here. Where I live cell reception for most providers are quite bad, but at other locations the AH device works quite well.

MTN fixed-wire network = excellent stuff
MTN 3G network = meh, iffy, spotty, and if you have good coverage, it eithers screams along, or it sulks...

Great thing is Afrihost is doing a great job in-terms of providing internet service to all, already have a MiFi device but with Telkom Mobile & i know Afrihost is bound to offer great affordable internet experience, :)

Don't have an MTN contract.

But I do have a Galaxy Tab sitting at home without a simcard in it...

For now it's not available, but when we officially launch Mobile SIM-only packages will be available.
Check back on the 3rd September :)

So worst case you get the sim and a FREE device. What's the problem? Or is the sim only deal cheaper

Nope. First month is from when you receive it to the end of September.

Correct.
If you receive your device today or on the 3rd September - you'll have 5GB of data to use until the end of September.
