Oh wow I only see this now. They made the FUP even worse while keeping the same price. Throttling the 100mbit package to 20mbit once 250gb is reached is so unnecessary. Anyone know a better deal for R599 for LTE?

I went with Sheesh @ 600 for R399 month to month, FUP: First 300GB at Max Speed on 5G, Next 300GB at 20 Mbps on LTE. Try and rely on this until Black Friday. Then take a direct deal with MTN or Vodacom.

How is the service so far and whats the max speed you achieved in the first 300GB? Also did the speed drop when you went over 300GB?

I need a secondary service to supplement fibre. The municipality has been renewing water and electricity lines and been damaging Fibre infrastructure all around my area.

Sorry for delayed response. The service is great. I didn't pay attention much or worried about it, but it always stayed beyond 100Mbps. Also, I'd like to clarify that if you are not in a 5G coverage area, you won't be able to use that First 300GB at all, so only take it if you are in 5G area and have a good place for setting up the router and getting the 5G coverage.

I would think so. I have one of them and do 2-3 phones and a media box at the same time.

Yes, you will. However with LTE connections speeds fluctuate and you not guaranteed the 20mbs through peek times which is between 6pm and 12pm daily...

Best is to trial for a month and move on if it doesn't work... The MTN sheesh 600GB option for R399 looks really good for afternoon streaming as you can connect to 5G and 4G

Anyone elses LTE absolutely garbage today? Barely hitting 8mbit. Had 90mbit last night. Even switched between several bands, no dice. Definitely looks like someone flicked some switch by accident.

Over the last 3 hours, I get this pretty consistently. 100Mbit. Just when I'm trying the BF6 Beta. Now I have to try play while sharing this with 3 other people streaming.

Dropped you a pm. There might be congestion on the tower causing slow speeds. Are you using 5G or 4G/LTE?

Hi, my brother has a Huawei b525s-65a router. He want's to sign up for your fixed lte sim only, but the router has now been removed from your list?
Can he still use this router?
and if yes, for how long still?

Hi.

Unfortunately, the Huawei B525 is no longer supported for our LTE packages.

All exisiting packages will be migrated to the 5G packages. Clients will be notified soon about this change. Nothing really changes except for the packages available to you and the changes to some Fair use policies.

The major changes will be for new signups especially sim only. We will require a 5G router. LTE is getting more and more congested and 5G is not being adopted as fast as we see clients still opt for 4G/LTE even if they have 5G coverage.
