Have Afrihost finally fixed the various problems in KZN? Well colour me surprised :D

YouTube = Perfect
Facebook Video = Perfect
International Latency = 180ms to London/200ms to Germany
Mweb Peering Problem = Fixed
Standard Bank = back to normal
Netflix = fastest buffering I have ever seen
HTTP/s downloads = full line speed (used Skype offline installer to test)

Since Saturday everything seems to be running smoothly, (touch wood I don't jinx it.)

Well Done Afrihost, congrats, it took 2 months, but we are back to former glory, Thank you!!

So one is allowed to share your WiFi with neighbours?
No, I don't think it is acceptable behaviour and will you take responsibility for what your neighbour does on your account? ;)

Thought as much. Neighbours are a bit clueless with Internet anyways & I thought I would help them with a bit of WiFi for the new smartphone they got. They don't even own a computer.

Well If they are clueless then they are harmless, no reason why you shouldnt.

It's the strangest thing, direct http links and speedtest works fine but everything else has trouble.

This happens to me too, it thinks I'm a robot and I must pick pictures of mountains or rivers almost everytime I open up a forum I've subscribed to.

Such great news! :) You made my night!

Just for interest sake - @Afrifella

How long does a line speed change take normally? 8mb to 10mb upgrade?

I know the e-mails say about 10 days but in awesome Afrihostland what is the quickest I can expect it?

Theoretically instant but for someone to press a button, who knows?

Hehe! :) You're going to have to expect up to 10 days. Sometimes it can happen quicker - it depends on the work order of technicians doing the regrades. How long have you been waiting?
