Afrihost New Network Feedback - Part 2

Sunday evening. P2P shaping. Oh look, Armored Warfare has massive packet loss and ping. MEGA now takes a fortnight to load. I wonder if it's the shaping causing the issue.

Well my P2P Streams dropped 2 min before the start of the F1 race so something was done to P2P.
Prior to that I had 25 peers and was streaming at 200KBs.
After it dropped It reported no peers available.
I switched to Telkom and instantly found >50 Peers and it started streaming at over 1MBs i.e. 5 times faster than afrihost.
I will be sticking with Telkom for now.

And Afrihost keep saying that nothing has changed on the network. Never had this issue for months and now it's starting again. Hopefully this shaping is because I had a heavy month and next month it'll go back to normal. If not, then yeah...

Been without internet since about 12 yesterday afternoon... :(

Apparently 011915 is affected by downtime. So frustrating.

Morning Guys!

Just a quick update, there is an issue in the South that is causing intermittent slow speeds and latency. :(

Our Team is working to get everything back to normal as quickly as possible.

We've updated the Network Status Page as well.

:(

Is the Exhcnage down? Could you DM me your full DSL line number and I'll check if I can get an ETA.

It's almost the 1st again, do you guys have any developments to this ticket? NEP-634-33641

It looks like you are getting the 100GB + 100GB + 200GB at the moment. :) Is there another query you would like me to follow-up on?

Just some postitive feedback to start the week: my youtube experience has been awesome this weekend. Only problem is I'm struggling to use up my cap because of the Free-time :-)

Disclaimer: I do receive Free-time data from Afrihost (like every other Afrihost subscriber :-) )

On Uncapped Premium, only your HTTP and P2P downloads will be shaped, this won't affect streaming, gaming or your browsing in anyway.

That's why I've asked our Critical Care Team to work with you to figure out what's going on with Armoured Warfare.
