Probably been changed to interleaved, which a Telkom employee confirmed here. It pushes your line sync up by a noticeable margin.

Do you have access to a laptop with which you could test your network? Tablets and phones are forever doing things in the background.

Definitely not shaped. What are your basic stats looking like on your connection?

Is that on 4Mbps? Can you also add a traceroute, latency seems a little high for local![]()

If you see my latency, you will faintI don't like seeing latency above 10ms or so on the second hop, that usually indicates some mild congestion on the exchange![]()
I know, I feel special. Especially since my speeds have now dropped below 3mbpsYou're a special case![]()
Hi Afri Reps, i have a question. what has been your churn rate before and after the new network?![]()
Lol basically it's a calculation whereby it shows how many subscribers discontinue their service at any given time. So let's say you had 100 000 users, and 50 000 left, you would have had a 50% churn on your network.Churn rate? Sounds painful![]()

I don't actually want numbers, just an indication if the churn has been less now that they on the New network. It would be interesting, but yeh, possibly something that can't be shared.I doubt they'll hand that information over to you...

I don't have figures that I can share, but I can say that a month to month service like ours is a constantly changing thing. We see sign ups and cancellations every month, it's just the nature of a service industry.
I don't believe that we've seen anything particularly out of the norm, even when the network was poor. We're very lucky that the large majority of our clients stuck with us and are now enjoying the benefits of our new network.
We're not at all concerned that we've lost all our clients I think we're still growing (in terms of client base) at a steady rate - to my knowledge![]()
