May I ask what is this email you guys are referring to? Didnt get it.

Google services are back!

Also can finally stream 1080p on a 4mb line with no buffering as mentioned earlier in this thread. Colour me impressed.

Yea its just awesome:), I can watch a Youtube video on the small screen, which streams at 480p, and in the middle of the video, I can switch to full screen mode and it would load 1080p immediately with out buffering. WELL DONE AFRIHOST!!!! we have our top ISP back :D

Probably the mystery data giveaway. All capped customers got one.

Edit: I see there's an email from Gian about getting R5k for referring someone to work at Afrihost.

Afrihost, have you been outsourcing your support to the Antarctic? I log a ticket, hear nothing for days, enquire about that ticket, get a promise to receive feedback the next day, and now I'm back to square one. Still no response on anything.

Thanks for putting me in the loop.

Thanks. Really don't know what is up. One minute it is running at full line speed and then drops to nearly 0 and then stays like that for a few minutes. During this time - I have tried an http download and runs at full speed.

Just started an NZB download (10GB file size) and it's going at 9.6MB/s. With Afrihost's free news server. Downloading with Newsbin Pro.
Is Newsbin pro a paid application? I'm currently using Alt.Binz for my NZB downloads. The book wasn't a big book, but was very slow. Also using Afrihost News Server

Yeah I paid for Newsbin Pro 5+ years ago. Only quite recently started caring about usenet again. I really miss the search facility integrated into Newsbin Pro - it's still there but my free year of searches is long gone. It's $2.50pm to activate it now. So I'm using NZB-SA exclusively for finding NZB's.

That is price is not bad. NZB SA is that by invite only?

I don't pirate much content though, so $2.50pm isn't worth it to me. The only stuff I pirate are requests from family for movies and obscure series, and the occasional movie for myself.

Yeah, NZB-SA is invite only.

Thanks :) who do I have to bribe to get an invite lol

I'm a relatively new member, but I'll check my profile to see if I can invite you. Invites over a public forum are a permaban offence, so if I can invite you make sure you use a totally unique username there.

Edit: Sorry man. I exchanged 10 points for an invite, but then on the invite page it just says "Because the user limit has been reached you are unable to send invites at this time."
