Like I said, it only happens on AH.

Also, what mail headers would you be referring to, seeing as the error happens on first send, and then the email is help up. This is also selective, as some mail with a certain timestamp arrives on time, while others arrive up to 3 hours later. Server logs confirm that these emails are delayed (most up to 3 hours) and only when connected to AH.

Your mail host, mail.mydomain.com is not accepting the connection on port 587. This is not a AH issue, it's your hosting provider not allowing your connection to port 587.

EDIT: Updated to reflect the correct tcptraceroute, still showing the same result.

Please grab a mail header from a delayed mail and send it through to our team, we can run a trace on what SMTP/ firewall boxes it's passed and check mail queues accordingly.
Mail issues can be tough to troubleshoot, so forums aren't always conducive to troubleshooting this properly.

Just want to confirm, is your domain hosted with us?

Why am I getting an afrihost message saying that I've used up all my data on my connectivity account? I'm on business uncapped.

That's very odd. Not sure if the data links are getting confused somewhere.
Drop me a PM with the DSL username and I'll check it out :)

that is not the correct domain name... I have replaced it with a fake.

The VPS is with Knownhost and is working correctly.... IT IS an AH PROBLEM... the error on the port ONLY happens on AH.

OK, AH is only firewaling you then  If you want help, provide the correct details then. Anyways, no, they are not firewaling port 587

Then, explain how the same test on port 587 works on other providers (WA / MWEB)?
I thought my simple test on the original post was quite revealing... or did you not see the difference

PS. I also DO NOT get the smtp error in Thunderbird when sending off ANY other ISP account I have.... ONLY AH.

Could you PM me the domain/ IP in question? I can run some tests from there.

Http Downloads going slow again now. Less than half speed. Averaging around 250kbps

And the whole browsing while downloading still not working.

Hugely frustrating.

Sorry to hear.
Could you paste a link that you're using to test please, as well as the throughput numbers you're seeing?

Hey AfriGuy you can delete this if you feel this is not valid.

I would just like to find out if Uncapped users are seeing better, worse or similar performance on the new network as I'm looking to go Uncapped the following month.
So could anyone running an uncapped account please PM me

Thank you so much :D
