Afrihost New Network Feedback

I just want to say that I'm worried about this announcement that Capped users will have unlimited data from 12-6am. I hope this doesn't affect us Home Uncapped users. The old network when to **** because you guys promised more than you could deliver. We all remember the shaping that never eased, where we got maybe 2 hours a night of full download speed if we were lucky.

So are business uncapped users not your clients too?

I'm sorry, but AH is either playing unfairly (by only giving freebies to SOME customers and not all), or, you have once again, miserably failed by offering compensation (in the form of free GBs to Capped users), without thinking it through, and offering it to your ENTIRE customer base.

Again, for the MILLIONTH time, this has been asked over, and over, and over for MONTHS already now by business uncapped users - when can WE expect our compensation for the MONTHS (if not YEARS) of pathetic service we've had to put up with?

Just as before - we're not going to get any. This isn't the first time that you've given away free GBs to your capped users, whilst NOTHING was given to uncapped users. Frankly, it's becoming the norm.

That's not what I've said.
This isn't a question of if, but when.

These products have been planned well in advance, so really shouldn't be seen as a slap in the face of Uncapped/ Business clients.
Again, if you want something done now - you need to log a formal dispute with our team.

I wouldn't worry if I was you :)
We've only set this up because we know for a fact that our network can handle this - on top of which, the IPC is pretty quiet after hours.

Let's wait and see though, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I like the direction Afrihost is going with their product updates and new features. :)

Cant wait to see what is next.

Getting huge latency issues on World of Warcraft at random last few days, switching to my IS the issue is gone

Pinging and tracert to 8.8.8.8 isn't giving any anomalies ( low packet loss,no strange latency spikes)

Afriperson, clientzone is a little confusing:

I upgraded my capped package from 18GB to 50GB.
The change reflects correctly under afrihost name but has not "migrated" to afrigreen (not a test account) name?
Will this resolve itself or should I log into my router with the afrihost name?

Slaught3r, can you also post a ping to bras.afrihost.com, just to rule out exchange (so the support people don't have an excuse :p :))

Afriperson, clientzone is a little confusing:

I upgraded my capped package from 18GB to 50GB.
The change reflects correctly under afrihost name but has not "migrated" to afrigreen (not a test account) name?
Will this resolve itself or should I log into my router with the afrihost name?
Did you upgrade your package under Afrihost or Afrigreen username. Either way, you should be able to use both accounts

Any changes you make to your @afrihost.co.za should automatically be applied to your @afrigreen account. Can you PM me your ADSL username quickly please.

Something is definitely not happy there. The network is purring along nicely on our end, so we need to figure out what is going on. Could you ping bras.afrihost.com please.
