as they say with great problems comes great results![]()
It would be nice to have roll-over data but if you plan your internet usage properly you'll know which bundle to purchase.man, its great i admit, but im like asleep at 8pmso still living in hope about the roll over data..
Wish Afrihost could at least make roll over for max of say 3 months... so then you have to use it within a space of 3 months.![]()
Impressive, which router did you get?Hahaha
I replaced my router this morning. Line Jumped up at least 3Mbps![]()

ThanksWe're busy investigating the issue with the SMTP, we've seen a few reports of this. Should be sorted out soon, our server admin people are checking it out.

That's the thing! I replaced it with an ASUS N10 that I had lying around. Surprising how it's outperforming my DLINK DSL-2750U

It is such a pity that not all routers have gigabit LAN ports. I regularly backup my notebook and it saves a lot of time.Nice one. Routers play such a big role, we sometimes forget that a ten year old router can do some weird things.
With the cost of routers dropping a lot, it's at least not so expensive to replace your router every few years.

I'm just here to say, ASUS FTW
Gotta DSL-N55U at home and it's rock solid.
Enjoy dude!

thats the problem. Im a streamer only, no gaming or torrent downloads. so its very difficult to know which package to go for, esp if there is no roll over. In fact, i would say roll over can actually play a key roll. Eg if i got a 100GB package, and only used 50GB and carried over 50, for the new month i would have 150. i could then decide to downgrade for the new month to a smaller package, and then up it again once im down again. But thats just the way i have looked at it. The month to month options is fantastic, makes things very flexible on going up or down with data.
I think that would make using DSL overly complicated and we're all about keeping things simple. We want clients to basically get so much value for their money that they don't really mind if they lose a few GB's at the end of the month, as long as having more than enough data for their needs is not a strain on their bank balance.
So with the new capped packages and Afrihost Plus, some clients are paying just over R1 per GB, which is probably the cheapest DSL rate ever contemplated by man! Definitely makes roll over less of a necessity![]()
i get that yes, but thats if you are a downloader it would make sense. im very confused at the moment as to how to play this. im going to go capped from uncapped, and i only do streaming with the missus doing the same.roughly do on average about 2 gigs a day, some days more, some days less. so if i go 50, i might need more during the month. if i go more 100GB's, i might have a ton left, which i will lose. so only other option is to go 75MB + A Plus and get 150GB's, and start streaming Barney just to make use of all of the data![]()
