Maybe we misunderstand each other. There is definitely a graph showing your use for each day of the month. But detailed daily breakdowns (by hour) haven't been available in ClientZone as far as I know.

Clearly there is a misunderstanding, you could previously in the new client zone move the cursor over the dot on the graph and it would show you the upload/downloads for that day, this is now been removed.

to be fair you right, that bit was there, because i also use to hover over it to see the down and uploads.

AM it was there on the new clientzone to be fair to PurSpyk.

OK, I think we're on the same page now.

This wasn't removed intentionally, so I'll report this as a bug to the Dev Team. I know there is a lot of work happening at the moment getting ready for the voice products we want to launch, but they look at this ASAP.

I really don't get the Black Friday thing - but I guess we're adopting America's craze. We don't have anything planned - not sure what we could sell any cheaper than we already do, to be quite honest :(

I personally prefer Afrihost's strategy of providing a consistent low price to all of their clients and potential clients. Whenever I want a product from Afrihost, I know I don't have to worry about comparing value or waiting for the right time, I just get it.

@afriman why does your network use up the top up data before the free data?

I want to top up again now but then what gets used first? New top up then old top up then free?

As much as it's great for a brand to drum up a ton of engagement with a sale, we prefer doing exactly that - providing value and consistent savings throughout the year.

I guess a lot of retailers are probably getting huge discounts from distributors becuase of how they have structured their operations around US sales, which I guess also isn't applicable to a lot of the services we offer, but we generally make very little margin (and sometimes a loss) on hardware we retail, so we couldn't really make it any cheaper unless we got it for free :)

I know i got a detailed lecture from one of our lead developers on this - we always use the oldest data links first, so it will depend on the creation date of the link. Top up links (from a previous month) with have an older creation date than monthly data in the current month or promotional data.

Well, I guess that the fact people are only really posting about clientzone functions and new products/specials/pricing means that the network is running well then hehe :D

It certainly is a nice change of pace! ;)

Looks like someone has been selling afrihost email addresses. Big spike is spam from the afrihost address.

I have never used my email address, or given it out to anyone. In the last week I have received a number of spam emails to said afrihost address. In the last instance an hour or so back received one from Game Stores entitled ! Day Only Black Friday Sale!

Game do not have any other email address of mine .

We definitely don't sell or give out client's email address. However, it is always possible that spammers may be generating lists against domains with common names.

Also, remember that there is potential data sharing between email marketers, and it's always possible that a email marketer obtained your email address on a list from elsewhere. A reputable company like Game should definitely have an opt out on the email in line with the CPA and POPI laws :(

The past month or so I've definitely seen my 2MB ADSL download speed vary quite a lot - from 0.2MB/s to around 1.4MB/s. How do I know where the problem is? Telkom or Afrihost? It would seem that the speed declines around 7-9pm.

We'll need to check some test to see what's going wrong :)
Can you share a speedtest or two here please?
