Very true, users are a very important link in the chain :)

Have an awesome day at work!

:D yeh work urgh

We're still waiting for more info but it seems like an upstream issue with one of our international partners. Will post more info when I know more :(

Yep. That's what happens when you're single homed. When Neotel have issues, you'll have issues. Glad to see you still haven't learned anything about redundancy.

Another one checking in with issues.. FB, Instagram and most websites loading slow or not at all.

Not true - Gian said, "Your connection will be fully redundant" and by the lack of service this morning, I'd say delivered as promised. Also, MTN prob can't afford it. They're pleading poverty together with the other networks vying to implement microcharges for FB, Twitter and WhatsApp.

We definitely have multiple redundancies in place, but it depends on where the issue is, which is what we are looking at right now. Once we know exactly which part of the network chain is failing or intermittently giving issues, we can reroute traffic. Our partners are busy investigating to see exactly what is causing this. The difficulty is that the symptoms are intermittent and that makes it difficult to isolate.

yep all good here :D, thanks Afriman!!.

Nice one :) sometimes a little patience is all that is needed. Tough though for business owners, but if it gets resolved quickly then all good.

Krusty, i hope in that time its been down, you went for a nice walk or run ;)

Nah we're still having issues with incoming connections, outgoing I cant remotely test (Can't RDP,VPN or connect to 80/25/21 on sites with an Afrihost acc)

Seems weird. No users had to reboot or restart to resolve the issue since it was upstream. If those sites were affected by the international issue they should have come back online without issue :(
