thats it Rickster, yea i know about no-ip, was just wondering if AH has something like that, or even better static IPs

We can also offer static IP, but only on Business DSL. You don't need a special router cos we do the static ip translation on our side and your public IP will be your static IP.

damn!!! why dont u allow it on "Private" dsl if it doesn't require special router?

That's a good question that I will studiously and unequivocally avoid ;)

It's probably on a wish list somewhere to build that functionality but since our Business products are probably within reach of any internet user, it's pretty much available to any one :)

lol like a true politician! Do you have Business Capped packages? Im running a 150gig capped account but i cant seem to find business accounts? Im guessing the price of them Business packages are significantly more than "Home" packages?

We only offer it on Business for now. I'm not usually offended to be called a politician, except when it started meaning this ...

They have static IP's, but its an extra cost, rather use a DDNS, I prefer dynamic IP addresses so the ISP cant hinder the performance on a specific IP should i have a static IP.

Each person will have their preference - both work on our network :)

So what should this be, as at the moment this is the only DNS that's giving me a working internet connection.

I tried changing it to the 169.1.1.1 of Afrihost, but didn't work, unless I put it in the wrong place.

Had no connection (ignore the virus bit, that is what I call my WiFi lol)

And had this error trying to open up a page via Chrome

So basically had to flush the DNS and restart the pc to get a connection again. I really don't want to use this 8.8.8.8 so if anybody can advise what the correct IP should be please and where I should enter it.

#sigh :(
