I just saw that Afrihost has changed the uncapped midnight data window to 23h30 to 7h30. That's awesome!

Just a heads up - I can do 345GB in a single 8 hour window.
And 10.3TB in a month of daily 8 hour windows. :D

Wow what line do you have? I did 150 GB so far this month.

lol, i know i know. are you guys looking at a premium service? would prefer to give you guys my cash than another company

Our news server is more a VAS than anything else, to specialise in news servers takes a lot of effort.
Generally, a premium usenet provider will give you more connections, SSL and higher retention.

unplug your router wait a few mins and then re connect and see what happens.

I'll need to run through the logs from my end to see what's causing this - although I'm not aware of any issues on our end.
Drop me a PM with your DSL username and we can take it from there :)

He's on 100Mbps fibre.
We all hate him here :p

So capped accounts can get up to 100Mbps with fibre?

Connectivity speed on the package page says it supports up to 40Mbps with fibre on capped accounts or uncapped accounts.

I don't pay for a premium usenet service anymore. I only use NZB-SA for my NZBs these days and I get 8-10MB/s with Afrihost's complimentary service.

Afrihost has a dedicated page for fibre accounts now, and they're priced identically to the regular capped accounts. Mostly because they are the exact same accounts.
