Afrihost New Network Feedback

So another discussion with technical at Telkom. They say that the exchange i am connected to is down, network failure. Ive been down since yesterday with voice and no sync, but according to them this exchange has just gone down sometime today. Could this be an issue that has been building for a while now?

It could be, hard to speculate on the cause on though.
 
Try these settings :)

POP3 Server: dslmail.afrihost.co.za OR mail.afrihost.co.za [port 110]
SMTP Server: smtp.afrihost.co.za [port 25]

I'm afraid IMAP isn't available on the DSL account mail addresses.

Working. But for some or other reason - some emails come through but others don't.

Strange.
Are there some example headers of mails that don't come through that you can FW through to our Support team?
 
Just an update. My line have been transferred from Mweb to Afrihost. I requested the transfer from mweb monday at 5pm, and this morning 9am my line was with afrihost. The line also never went offline. Just don't try to talk to telkom in the process as they are useless. Anyway, another thing, do the "test my line" feature work in client zone? I can't seem to get it to work?

Glad to hear things went smoothly :)
The test my line feature may need to see the line finalised and moved over to us - it queries Telkom APIs which may not be active just yet.

If you're still stuck with this by Friday drop me a PM with your line number and I'll get things checked out.

Ok will do! :) I haven't restarted the router yet tho, do you think that might be causing the issue?

Doubt it, but I guess it can't hurt to try :)
Test my line will just read what your router does - if you need to check the stats you can check via your routers logs. Otherwise PM me and I can also check for you.

AfriMan was manning the forums for most of the day, he was pretty swamped with an article though.
We all cover different times depending on our shifts, anything I can chase up for you quickly?
 
Working perfectly but I'm not in Johannesburg. :)
