No, I wish!
10x 20mbps adsl lines vpn bonded,
Our IMAX has a gigabit ME link.
If I could get VDSL that would be great.
But fibre would make me very happy.

Damn that sounds expensive. Are you sure you can't just see if DFA is in your area and run a line straight from them?

Nope, Tried DFA, Broadband infraco, Neotel and even MTN and Vodacom Microwave, zero nothing nada :(

Telkom quoted me on Metro Clear Fibre @ R1200 per megabit. :wtf:

I am 385 meters from the nearest Telkom ME POP, the pricing is ridiculous!

The way I am doing it now, I get about 80-100mbps down and 8mbps up. For roughly R13000 a month. VDSL would help my upload drastically.

I wish there was a way for me to motivate Telkom to drop a MSAN in our exchange.

I have pleaded on Facebook, called our area manager, ask TelkomZA (Charl) but no luck

Do you pay extra for bonding or do you do it via the router(s)?
Afrihost is R425 for the line and Vox is R410 @ 20Mbps. So should be ~R4250 or R4100 rather. (not counting net)
Capped account should work on multiple lines, which is what I assume you have.

Sad when you can afford to pay so much yet no one wants to roll out fiber. Have you tried going to neighboring businesses and asking if they need as well?

I use business 10meg uncapped accounts On 20meg lines to try avoid overhead.
Also I use pfsense and zeroshell and have a VPS at isohost in JHB.
It took me a few weeks to get it right.
It would be a lot more expensive if i had to change ISP, Afrihost is the cheapest out of everyone, as I need unshaped data for the VPN tunnels to operate correctly.

No one seems to be interested in fibre here, I did try to get a few people to commit so I could approach Neotel or one of the other providers. That did not work.

Just a heads up Afrihost, maybe you should get your ducks in a row, sending out contradicting info via email and SMS.
On Friday I placed a order to upgrade my 4 MB line to a 10 MB. I got a SMS with the ref number of my order, also saying it can take up to 48 hours for the order to be processed, that the line speed change can also take up to 48 hours.
Later I get a email advising me that it can take up to 10 days to process the order and that the line speed change can also take up to 10 days to take effect.
One heck of a difference between 10 days and 48 hours, maybe you guys should look in to this and send out the correct info via both email and SMS, I mean which one is it now, 10 days or 48 hours?

BTW I can't wait to get a 10 MB line.

Cannot sign into Playstation network on AH DNS settings.

Edit: Signed in once changed to google DNS.

Morning :)

Sorry about the contradictory info. Some orders are going through OK while others aren't - the ones that aren't get a follow up mail, we're seeing delays with some orders here.
Not an idea situation :(

Trying to play GW2 HoT and having continual dc's Grrrrrr!

Anyone else having issues?

PingPlotter shows a lot of packet loss :wtf:

-snip

Running a trace route, reflects the same QQ ..... packet loss on hop 8

-snip

Strange results.
I think hop 8 is being affected by packet loss earlier on though, the only hop that should be timing out is your exchange.

Can you grab a ping to bras.afrihost.com and then ping 169.1.5.29 to see if there's any packet loss there?

Packet loss on 3rd and 4th hop, whats going on AH? The same thing was reported to you a week ago.

-snip

Is this affecting your overall experience?
Can you run a ping to those hops to see if there's packet loss there too please?

Very odd results here - what was your line sync sitting at when you ran the test?

10Mbps

30min later speeds were back to 8.6Mbps on speedtest. Nothing else was downloading, streaming or running on my network at the time. Nothing strange about it other than your network taking strain.
