Thank you,

International still doggy, connections dropping, but latency and trace routes show no errors.

You will be busy on Skype, Sipgate.de or Streaming international radio stations and traffic just stops.

Not seeing this on local services, almost as if the links are going down for a few Milliseconds at a time, long enough for applications to stop responding, but not long enough to notice when browsing. If that makes sense?

Also seems to be very random, no fixed pattern.

Saw a few reports around international last night - I've asked our Network team to look into them.
I had a Skype chat with the team yesterday afternoon and all seemed OK though.

I know it's a pain, but we need to see some test results that we can pass onto our team. It's impossible to spot something without this data :( If you're still seeing issues on international services, please grab a few traceroutes/ MTRs.
In this case, an MTR over 15 mins or so may be incredibly useful.

Local Skype calls are 100%, international Skype calls are horrid.

Also Standard Bank! Sooooo slow, I have to change to a Mweb account just to pay people.

You can't Trace Route a Skype call, it's Peer to Peer :D

A tool like iftop would help identify the traffic though, do you have something like this setup?

Seems the CDN that Facebook is using is the problem,

But from the above, the network is in a mess.

Don't think this is a peering/ CDN issue but rather a routing one.
Our Network team will need to revert with more feedback though - we're working on it :)

I am really at my end here, looking for alternatives, so come the 24th I might cancel all 11 of my accounts and move my lines back Telkom. Really not sure what to do otherwise. Not much hope here.

Jeez AH - international speeds are more wonky than the voices in my head.
