Afrihost/Openserve ballzup

I am very loyal towards Afrihost, really I am.

But this is getting painful.

Waiting 5 weeks for Openserve installation with Afrihost.

1. Afrihost did not place the order with Openserve, until, after three weeks I bothered to ask a status update from Afrihost.

2. Now (2 days ago) after 5 weeks Afrihost mails me, informing ME that Openserve cancelled the order on my request? WTF?????????

3. So I reply to their URGENT e-mail, telling them to please not cancel, I do not want to wait ANOTHER 5 weeks.

4. Just now, two days later, I get an e-mail back from Afrihost. - SORRY, but we cannot tell who you are, so we cannot help you.

Queue the apologetic Afri*spin who will assure you they care about you and this is a terrible once off mistake that only happened to you and if you can please PM them your details they will be glad to sort you out.

Then wait a week before you have to remind them about your PM followed by more excused about full mailboxes and more promises to have the issue resolved.

Do yourself a favor and just move to another provider (eg. www.cisp.co.za) and save all the guaranteed further pain and suffering.

Yes but but but, it is not the fault of Afrihost if Openserve just unilaterally decide to cancel a client's fibre installation.
This whole mess is because of Openserve's bull-sjit.

Trust me it's Afrihost I have seen how their fiber order system works. Everyone is hating on them for a reason

You're in denial, you cannot accept that afrihost could be at fault (as others could confirm) and conveniently ignore,

I fully agree with you there. People seem blind, and then complain about their blindness. Seen another guy on here do the same but with MWEB. And don't try to convince them otherwise, as they will come up with a million excuses as to why it is not their ISP's fault

So please explain to me how Afrihost is such a bad service provider WHEN OPENSERVE CANCELS the order?

Some people are so pre-occupied with their cleverness, they cannot read posts properly anymore.
They just see their favourite name, in this case Afrihost, and start spouting their opinions, trying to make it sound like facts.

So Afrihost did nothing wrong here. You are blinded by your fanboyism

You placed your order with Afrihost, which means that they should manage this, and make sure that your fibre gets installed. If they are not able to do that, then they have failed. Have they given a reason why the order has failed? No, they just told you whatever they wanted you to hear, to make them look less incompetent. More than likely, Afrihost requested the cancellation of the installation.

Which further shows their incompetence. You placed an order with them, yet after 8 weeks, they have no idea who you are.

You proved your own point in your post, and you are still to blind to see the writing on the wall
 
Seldom have I ever met a bunch of more dense people than the ones that work at Afrihost.
When RAIN/Iburst transferred their accounts to Afrihost I was hoping for a seamless transfer BUT no. First I expected my payment to go through but there was no communication from Afrihost. I had to contact them on 7 May and I get a bog standard email saying got to clientzone and blah... So I contact again and again and again and no reply. I eventually trying contacting them on their webpage to sales, accounts, support with my email. Eventually a week later an accounts person phones me and says stupid things like I don't exist. By the 25 May I still have NO joy other than them telling me they have created my clientzone profile and I must go tot the BILLING tab to set up my account. NO BILLING tab and they can't sort it out. SO send them contact emails saying please cancel everything as Webafrica has signed me up and I received my new SIM by the 6 of June and I am running with them. Tonight I get the email from Ayanda saying:
I hope this email finds you well, and apologies for the late response.
Would you like to continue with the cancellation?
"Pure internet joy?"
NO it has been absolute hell trying to communicate with Afihost.
I cannot believe the level of utter ineptitude of this company.
