I don't think AfriGuy was meaning to be rude in any way, not sure what he was responding to there.
We don't expect clients to stop their regular day to day stuff to become our focused testers. We have already done extensive testing on the network and believe most core services to be working well. However, we just cannot recreate the same conditions as a small group that a few hundred (or tens of thousands) of clients would be able to offer in terms of the variety of services, the level of demand, and the unique network conditions that each user has on their home or office connection. A degree of user testing is always going to be required at this level, which is why we asked only clients who are willing to participate.
