Getting 1MB/s downloading Android Virtual Studio addons while others are still managing to play Smite without an issue, so having nice performance.

Is Afriblue based on cape town IPC? Would be nice to have lower ping, currently 60ms to cape town from within cape town lol. Would be nice if you guys launch it.

(this is all on a 10Mbps line)

AfriBlue will follow a similar roll-out plan to AfriGreen, unfortunately we will only deploy IPC to the South and East once we have started the full roll-out of the new network.

I don't have an ETA for AfriBlue, we're still some way off of actually issuing test accounts.

Just played on Mweb BF4 server. No packet loss. First time ever in months. :) Will test more.

Tried later again . packet loss back. On different server though.

:(

Are you getting that packet loss on a specific Mweb Server or on all of the Mweb servers at the moment?

Just want to say how awesome Afrigreen has been throughout the Windows 10 transition. Had a ton of stuff to download since I had to format. Full line speed. I love it.

Do you guys know if Microsoft has a local server? If yes, I hope you guys optimise your "release" network like you do for local Google servers.

Yup!

Microsoft definitely has local servers with the updates available, unlike a certain other company - *Cough* Apple *Cough* - that only has the files stored in the US. So that alone has helped a lot!

Also, Windows 10 has this really cool feature whereby one computer on a local network with the updates or files will actually share it with all other Windows 10 machines on the same network.

Anyone experiencing DNS issues on some sites?

Not that I care much, but sanral.co.za doesn't work on the network for me. Switched over to an IS account and it worked immediately.

Just checked it. Broken for me as well, not that I really care about Sanral :p

Can you guys check again quickly if you are having issues accessing sanral.co.za.

If it doesn't load, would you mind doing a traceroute to it?

That's awesome to hear!

Still a bit of work that needs to be done, but I'm glad to hear we're making some progress!

Had it on all the servers last night.

:(

Thanks, I'm really starting to think this is a peering issue / bandwidth prioritisation issue. We're seeing the same thing on our office connection.

No problem! I've passed it on to our Team to look into.

I think this is perhaps related to the Geo-location on our new IP-range.

Is it likely that you'll have the Afrigreen south IPC up and running by the end of the month? Been testing Afrigreen for a while now and it's been maxing on my 40mbit line on most if not all protocols. It's like chalk and cheese compared to the old network.

The only problem is the ~70ms ping to CPT :( gaming isn't pleasant...

I'm not sure when we'll go live with an East/ South POP on Afrigreen yet. I think we'll want to get Afriblue tested first. The minute I hear anything though I'll drop some feedback in this thread :)

Glad your experience has been better though!

Just bit more feedback.

Downloading from http site. While downloading at 1mbps, youtube streaming simultaneously at 720p no issues. But vimeo streaming while downloading doesn't work.

That's weird. Any idea how much bandwidth the vimeo vid wants?

Seems to happen with few videos I've tried on vimeo. All Animated videos at 720p

Any idea what sort of throughput that is asking? For YouTube that would be around 3.3 or 3.4Mbps, depending on the encoding.
