Afrihost POC Network - Afrigreen Feedback

4mb uncapped....yes clientzone confirms shaping is active but I'm not downloading anything yet browsing is slow and streaming is terrible compared to yesterday....in Durban

Could you paste some tests please? Our network guys are checking this feedback thread for what and what doesn't need attention.

When will our old accounts be locked? I'm just worried that I won't have any sort-of-working internet if it takes a while to sort out these issues.

Tested Afrigreen earlier, latency is far better, but I could not access most websites and YouTube is dead, buffers like crazy. Back on my old accounts, at least websites open on them.

I want to know too. As I have reverted back to my old account at the moment.

I don't think that functionality is active just yet, the Business accounts I've checked only have an unshaped policy, no business optimisation yet.
I can confirm business optimisation option is active on client zone.

Switched from Afrigreen back to standard account. At least now I have an actual upload speed and can stream things!

Speedtest after switching back:

Edit: Fiance' went from thumbnails not loading on facebook on afrigreen to have everything on the normal account. Normal account might be slow but it works

Internet connectivity is completely useless right now on Afrigreen.
Why oh why did I even bother?

Getting some massive ping spikes in Path of Exile and War Thunder. Path of Exile is getting 200ms which jumps to 1200ms and then eventually disconnects. War Thunder however shows a little more info by having ingame network stats. It shows 217ms and between 23-30% packet loss.

CMD Ping to warthunder.com site.

Code:
PS C:\Users\Anthony> ping -n 20 warthunder.com

I think we confirmed this a few pages back, the accounts are not being locked immediately.

I have also reverted back for now, I can understand there will be many hiccups and bumps but the constant disconnecting is something else.
I have submitted a ticket with the issues that I have experienced today, yesterday my connection was really great today not so much.

Maybe this should be readdressed as I really do not want to sit with no internet at all, after all I did pay for the month, test account or not. Please make sure your loyal paying clients at least have a working internet through all the kinks and bumps.

I posted about this earlier. The network is really new.
It's only fair to expect some bumps on the road in the beginning. Setting a network up on this scale is massively complicated - please be patient to allow the tweaks to be pushed through. They will happen.

To give you an example of where we are now, it's probably early beta. Alpha was setting everything up for internal testing which has been done.
The experience on Afrigreen will get better.

If it's being locked immediately, then how am I able to still use it? Sorry for not understanding. I get that the network is new and there are problems, but not being able to use my account at all isn't good either :( not sure what to do now.

Sorry, that's a typo.

OK that now makes more sense and puts a different light on the testing phase :) At least now as a paying client I am not left stranded with no option at all.

Tested again, still can't access most websites, connections just time out. YouTube is still buffering for ever in a day...

There are a ridiculous amount of time outs to any site I try, which of course is making latency sky high. Jitter is at almost 500ms currently >.<

Going to stick to my old account for now I guess.
