Local traffic = Perfect
Gaming = high latency
International traffic = slow
TeamViewer = constantly dropping
Facebook = non existent
Whatsapp = long delay in messaging
P2P = dead
What happened, all went to hell after 6?

Social network sites are also slow.

Edit* Most international browsing is slow. Including email services. Effectively same as last night.

Yours died at 18h00, mine died at 15h00.
I am to scared to connect to 4G to get my mail on the iPad

P2P is dead again. I used your Ubuntu torrent, AfriGuy, and my own seeded by a German Uni. For HTTP I used Nvidia's driver download site.

4mbit line.

Afrigreen uncapped home: P2P: Got seeds, dead. <1kb/s HTTP: 400kb/s
Afrihost uncapped home: P2P: Got seeds, extremely slow. ~40kb/s (probably just the usual shaping for the afrihost acc.) HTTP: 80kb/s (shaped)

Afrigreen Free 1GB: P2P: Got seeds, very slow. Capped out at ~10kb/s. HTTP: 400kb/s
Afrihost Free 1GB: P2P: Got seeds, fast to establish full speed. ~400kb/s. HTTP: 400kb/s

Web Africa 1GB Free: Got seeds, fast to establish full speed. ~400kb/s. HTTP: 400kb/s

Looking at the comments before me, there seems to be a problem.
 
NNTP is timing out. All NNTP servers affected incl. AH's as well.

Update: I'm getting no packet loss on pings to the servers via MTR, so it's likely the protocol which is being nuked.

Update 2: Okay SSL connections are getting through perfectly so it's traffic on port 119 that's being nuked.

Torrents and News dead. Please fix asap.

AH's NNTP server plus two others, one local, one international.

When restarting the client, all connections are established, DL speed shoots up to my usual 700-800 Kbps, but then suddenly drops and even disconnects. ...almost as if some clever 'system/device' recognises the type of traffic and steps in. There's a term for that if memory serves me right :whistle:

Jokes aside... would be really nice to see some increase in evening consistency on AfriGreen to match the solid day-time performance.
 
Anyone else having issues with google play store? Downloads/updates don't even start never mind run.
Also cannot connect to the vpn I use - can however connect using mtn 3g so vpn is not the issue.

That doesn't matter, the hop onto your network (and continuing on it) is the problem. Not exchange related as swapping ISP accounts mitigates this issue (drop down to 165ms latency HotS vs 340ms with you guys).

Torrents running at 2-8KB/s.

For the first time in over a month AfriGreen is really really terrible. Can do nothing, like dial up but ever so slightly faster.

Switched to AfriRed - google play store updates/downloads run albeit slowly.
Can also connect to the vpn no problem.

Switched back to AfriGreen and ran a speedtest:
Last Result:
Download Speed: 3563 kbps (445.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 417 kbps (52.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 39 ms

Google play store still dead. Still can't connect to the vpn.

Windows updates are running well at 3.2 mbps, youtube is working nicely even at 720p sometimes, browsing is decent.

Tried switching back to green since red has been going slow, can't even load MyBB, this is not cool Afrihost.
 
Every evening the same crap, then the reps appear I the morning and all their test show no errors. No one seems to want to admit there are serious issues with Afrihost, the odd thing is AfriGreen used to be fast, their network specialist have obviously messed things up again, or they are over subscribed. My speed tests show no errors, but I cant even log onto my twitter account, emails wont download, its pathetic.
