Afrihost POC Network - Afrigreen Feedback

Thanks for the link. A suggestion - make it clearly accessible from the main status page.

Is a POC not something you run for a limited period of time to prove the concept or idea. This frankly, is a production network because you have paying customers on it.

It will only be available on the noticeboard if it gets pushed live to a live environment. It's still in a testing phase, the accounts are provided for free alongside an existing DSL service.

so what you are saying is we have to pay for the crap network to get the other crap network for free to test
i dont think this is going to work for much longer

Afrigreen is a POC network, updates are provided here as the network isn't our main production network.

Sorry that all this anger is being directed at you. Seems like you the fall guy on this forum.
You keep saying Afrigreen is a POC. When i change to the regular account, performance is exactly the same so surely the problems are not isolated to Afrigreen.

My torrents and p2p are completely dead. On both accounts. Come on guys please, we're paying money for this service surely this should be resolved soon.
Every other person with alternate ISP's are just fine.

Yeah, it's a total joke. I wish I had a business like theirs, where I could continually get paid for not providing a service.

It is not free in my case - according to the Clientzone half the bandwidth I pay for is allocated to Afrigreen and the other half to the legacy account. We cannot use the Legacy network because it is borked. We are using Afrigreen because this is the only way we can get any usable bandwidth. Afrigreen is a production network!

We're working on improvements for this. As mentioned, we should have feedback around Afrigreen later today.

This is only the calculation on ClientZone. Each account uses separate links - you can confirm this by viewing the usage on each account.

Ok, so the labelling is incorrect. Even so, I do not use the Legacy account. It is unusable. Hell, I could not even get through half of the bandwidth on that account each month. Therefore, this is not free. I pay for this service and it is not working.

I do understand.
Afrigreen is open as a testing account to existing DSL clients.

Sadly, we're paying for something which doesn't work.

We are currently testing two different proof-of-concept networks.

I was under the impression that the Afriblue test was never started.
If your web site is correct how do we go about switching to afriblue rather than afrigreen?

AfriBlue is undergoing some internal testing, it isn't live/ an option to switch to from Afrigreen.

Well something needs to be done ... and compensation is now due for damn sure.

We try be civil ... we try keep calm ... but month after month you guys bill us for a service that is pathetic at best ...

I just got a lovely sms saying I have been debited again ... ... Something needs to change ... We are tired of this

Please remember that this is a POC network, that is undergoing testing.
Again, I should have more info to post here on how we're moving forward from our network team later today.

Amen. It's shocking, to say the least. They take our money every month, knowing full well that they're not providing the service as promised.

The accounts are working, however P2P seems to be an issue. Something we've admitted here and working on fixing.
Please try your regular account to see if there's any improvement there.

It's been months now. Getting very tiring reading your bull**** on here day in and day out.

I'm sorry if that's the way you feel about what's posted here.
Happy to continue to engage with you here, but it's really hard to do so with personal attacks like this. I've asked multiple times to be civil. We're here to help - and as much as I can understand that you're frustrated, making things personal isn't appreciated.
