Yep, but it seems that the test account does not work.
It connects, but no data being sent
Just my luck today...
Weird.
That's definitely the next step in the process though - maybe ask a mate if they have an account you can run some tests off of?

Luckily last night I did not have any issues with congestion in my area (traceroutes, speedtests etc - all posted last night) but p2p, my vpn, google play store updates, windows updates, youtube were all crappy. The results aren't looking bad at all here. Interesting to see what happens later though due to congestion in your area.

Got hold of a WA test account and had no problems when I ran the tests.
Did give some feedback regarding the two accounts last night already. Will be interesting to see how the two compare, keep us posted.
Okay so from what I have read, the Afrigreen network has hit it maximum capacity, and is over contented. This is probably what's been causing the issues over the past week. I'm currently using the regular account and it's performing way better than the POC has been the past week, so I think I'm going to stay on the original account until I get the go-ahead to switch back to Afrigreen (from what I understand the Afrigreen addresses are going to be moved first)
To Afrihost's credit, the POC had been performing brilliantly over the past few weeks until recently, and now I know why![]()
Hey guys
The network guys have given us an update on the Afrigreen POC.
The feedback and participation of everyone here is vital to everything that has got us this far, and both the network team and all the reps are supremely grateful for everyone’s contribution.
We’ve now come to the end of the POC phase and are preparing to move into production. We have already started implementing the infrastructure required to have points of presence (IPC) in 3 regions (North, South & East).
We believe that LAB simulations aren’t always a true reflection of how we use the internet so part of the POC required that we simulate a constrained network.
Due to physical limitations on the physical Network Core Equipment we cannot upgrade the POC IPC capacity but we’re very excited that the new Network Core Equipment is being deployed and will soon be ready for use.
We’ll keep Afrigreen running and we’ll migrate it to the new production network over the next few weeks (in October). We’ll be sending out official communications early next week (from Gian, our CEO) with more accurate dates.
Till then, our team will continue running tests on Afrigreen with intentions of making the migrations as smooth as possible.
You can still use your afrihost.co.za ADSL username on the MTN network and we’ll let you know once we’ve migrated Afrigreen to the new network.
We’re very grateful to have had the opportunity to drive demand on the POC as high as possible to simulate conditions in the real world, like if we experience a major loss of IPC capacity. This has been extremely valuable to the team to be able to test scenarios and network policies that will ensure that we provide the best experience we can under difficult conditions.
Again, we’d like to thank everyone for testing, providing feedback and just being part of this awesome new phase of Afrihost’s development as a service provider. We’re honoured that so many have been so diligent in their feedback both here and via ClientZone, you’ve made a huge contribution to the new network!
Great to hear you've been enjoying Afrigreen! Once we hit production things are going to be really awesome![]()
Just to confirm, once the new network is active, it would be advisable to switch to Afrigreen again, or should I stay put on the old Afrihost account?

Awesome. The new network will essentially be Afrigreen![]()
And p2p has all but completely died again.

Advisable just to leave. When the new network is active? Like 2018 or something

Okay, so no login details should be changed to take advantage of this? I can continue using the [email protected] username and don't need to switch back to [email protected]?

Don't use Usenet. Sorry.
I can post a WA comparison like I did last night?
